SCO

2、PE The materials defined by this specification are fine denier, bulked continuous filament (BCF) nylon 6, cut pile carpets, tufted into a synthetic primary foundation. 2. APPLICATION This material was originally released for Ford Taurus MY18 floor carpet. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 APPROVED SOURCES This sp

3、ecification requires the use of approved sources. Only the sources identified on the Ford Approved Source List (ASL) can be used when this specification is listed on the drawing, CAD file, or other documents. The list of approved sources is located within Ford at or available externally through a F

4、ord Materials Engineer. 3.2 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONS All test values are based on material conditioned for not less than 24 h prior to testing in a controlled environment of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity. Testing of the material should occur in the conditioning environment or so

5、on after removal. 3.3 PERFORMANCE CRITERIA 3.3.1 In addition to the requirements listed herein, the end-item carpet shall be tested to WSS-M8P16-B and any additional SDS requirements. The details for each of the supplier specific constructions shall be documented in the supplement attached and uploa

6、ded into the scanned data package. 3.3.2 Vehicle Interior Environment Quality Materials/Component Performance Requirements Materials used in interior applications must meet the requirements outlined in WSS-M99P2222-D1/ latest. Data must be provided at the appropriate program milestone. 3.4 SAMPLE SE

7、LECTION All evaluations shall be conducted on test specimens taken from finished roll goods prior to any subsequent operations, such as reheating or molding. 3.5 APPEARANCE The color, pattern, and gloss shall match the approved Corporate Design master sample. 3.6 METHOD OF DYEING Solution Dyed ENGIN

The back coating shall thoroughly

12、saturate the base of the pile fiber bundles to ensure adequate tuft lock. Penetration of the back coating through to the face shall be controlled to provide the required resistance to abrasion and fiber loss, but it shall not be visible on the face of the pile fiber. 15、construction package. 4. GENERAL INFORMATION This information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. Contact for questions concerning Engineering Material Specifications. 4.1 DRAWING CALL OUT The following shall be called out on t

16、he Engineering drawing to correctly designate the approved material. WSS-M3H186-A1 Supplier Name and Product Code (As it appears on the Approved Source Listing) WSS-M8P16-B 4.2 APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Suppliers desiring approval of their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from Purc

17、hasing, Design or Product Development, and Materials Engineering. The supplier shall submit a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstrating full compliance with all the requirements of the Material Specificati

18、on. Tested material samples must be available for review upon request and kept for a minimum of one year. Upon request, the supplier will review the associated quality control documents (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Control Plans, Certification testing) with Ford. 4.3 SUPPLIERS ONGOING

19、 RESPONSIBILITY All materials must be equivalent in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted. Prior to making any changes to the material originally approved, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the su

21、ers Request for Engineering Approval, SREA. For parts and components using Ford Engineering Material Specifications, all samples tested to the specifications for Design Verification (DV), Production Verification (PV) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) sign off must be kept until Job 1. 4.4

22、RESTRICTED SUBSTANCE MANAGEMENT STANDARD Substance restrictions imposed by regulations or Company direction applies to the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are identified in the Restricted Substance Management Standard WSS-M99P9999-A1 which is updated yearly. It is the supplier

23、s responsibility to comply with this standard on a continuing basis through IMDS and or GMAP reporting. 5.
