2、ACE) GASKET 1. SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a two component, thermally cured silicone rubber foam gasket. 2. APPLICATION 2.1 This specification was released originally to define a two component silicone material used as a form-in-place gasket between the plastic gear cover and
3、 aluminum housing for the wiper motor assembly as a barrier to prevent water and dust. The material is cured on the plastic housing prior to assembly to allow easy disassembly. This material has a continuous working temperature of -55 C to 150 C. 2.2 Other suitable application for this material woul
4、d be areas where a barrier to moisture, dust in high/low temperatures are needed. It also has NVVH enhancing properties. This material will bond to various metals and plastic substrates after appropriate surface treatment. 3. REQUIREMENTS Material specification requirements are to be used for initia
5、l qualification of materials. 3.1 QUALITY SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Quality System Requirements. 3.2 INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY AND/OR THERMAL ANALYSIS IR spectra and thermograms established for initial approval shall constitute the refere
