Test Method: Dilute a one gram sample of material with one gram of special white spirit (Boiling Range 60/140) and mix

3、 thoroughly. Rub a portion of the diluted material 5 times between two pieces of flat, clean plate glass. The appearance of scratches on the glass plate will be considered failure. 3.14 SPRAYABILITY The material shall be a smooth homogeneous mixture, free from foreign material and suitable for use i

4、n airless spray equipment. It shall spray evenly and rapidly with no tip clogging or fluctuations in the spray pattern and with a min spray-back and fogging. 5、of uniform quality, free from foreign material and properties detrimental to normal production use. 3.16 STORAGE STABILITY 3 months min (From date of receipt at Ford Motor Company) When stored in sealed unopened containers out of direct sunlight at ambient temperatures between 5 C and 32 C. 3.17 DEN

6、SITY kg/l AT 23 C see initial sample (ASTM D 1475) The weight tolerance for any one supplier shall be 0.05 kg/L, based on the recorded weight of the original approved sample. 3.18 CURED MATERIALS PERFORMANCE PROPERTIES Parts and/or test samples with materials according to these specifications must m

7、eet all requirements of performance specification WSS-M99P31-A2. 4. GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. Contact for questions concerning Engineering Material Specifications. 4.1 MATERIAL REFE

8、RENCE All related materials used for approval according to this specification, e.g. electrocoat or metallic substrates shall be noted in the Initial Sample report of the NVH material. 4.2 APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Suppliers desiring approval of their materials shall first obtain an expression of interes

9、t from Purchasing, Design or Product Development, and Materials Engineering. The supplier shall submit a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstrating full compliance with all the requirements of the Material

10、Specification. Tested material samples must be available for review upon request and kept for a minimum of one year. Upon request, the supplier will review the associated quality control documents (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Control Plans, Certification testing) with Ford. 4.3 SUPPLI

11、ERS ONGOING RESPONSIBILITY All materials must be equivalent in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted. Prior to making any changes to the material originally approved, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requireme

12、nts, the supplier shall notify the affected Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), Purchasing, and Materials Engineering activities of the proposed changes (with reasons) by submission of a completed Suppliers Request for Engineering Approval, SREA. For parts and components using Ford Engineering Mate

13、rial Specifications, all samples tested to the specifications for Design Verification (DV), Production Verification (PV) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) sign off must be kept until Job 1. 14、5 of 5 4.4 RESTRICTED SUBSTANCE MANAGEMENT STANDARD Substance restrictions imposed by regulations or Company direction applies to the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are identified in the Restricted Substance Management Standard WSS-M99P9999-A1 which is updated yearly. It is the suppliers responsibility to comply with this standard on a continuing basis through IMDS and or GMAP reporting. 5.
