SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a Prism Lite pattern, knit fabric, flame laminated to flame bondable polyether urethane foam. 2. APPLICATION This specificatio
3、n was released originally for material used as cover material for headliners, moon or sun roof and roller shades. Any other applications must be evaluated and approved by the responsible Materials Engineering activity. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 APPROVED SOURCES This specification requires the use of appro
4、ved sources. Only the sources identified on the Ford Approved Source List (ASL) can be used when this specification is listed on the drawing, CAD file, or other documents. The list of approved sources is located within Ford at or available externally through a Ford Materials Engineer. For all test
5、methods, no individual specimen shall fall below the minimum values specified herein. 3.2 Materials manufactured to this specification may also need to meet the following applicable Specifications: Headlining Formed Performance: WSS-M15P27-G/latest Roof Systems Fabric Performance: WSS-M8P27-A1/lates
6、t Roller Shade Material: WSS-M5H34-B1/latest Flexible Foam Performance: WSS-M99P48-A2/latest 3.3 VEHICLE INTERIOR ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE Materials used in interior applications must meet the requirements outlined in WSS-M99P2222-D1/latest, Performance, Vehicle Interior Environmental Quality Mater
7、ial/Component Requirements. Data must be included in material submission package. 3.4 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONS All test values are based on material conditioned for not less than 24 h prior to testing in a controlled environment of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity. Testing of the m

12、mples in each Direction) 4. GENERAL INFORMATION This information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. Contact for questions concerning Engineering Material Specifications. 4.1 Purchase departments will ensure that the material d
13、efined in this specification and shipped to any one assembly plant will be produced by one supplier only. 14、upplier for this specification must provide a Construction package and be approved to meet this specification. 4.2 If yarn is locally sourced it must meet the above fabric construction, composition and yarn construction. The fabric must also meet the requirements of WSS-M8P18-B1/B2/B3/B4/latest. 4.3
15、 APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Suppliers desiring approval of their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from Purchasing, Design or Product Development, and Materials Engineering. The supplier shall submit a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authori
16、zed representative of the test facility, demonstrating full compliance with all the requirements of the Material Specification. Tested material samples must be available for review upon request and kept for a minimum of one year. Upon request, the supplier will review the associated quality control
17、documents (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Control Plans, Certification testing) with Ford. 4.4 SUPPLIERS ONGOING RESPONSIBILITY All materials must be equivalent in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted. Prior to making any changes to the material
18、originally approved, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the supplier shall notify the affected Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), Purchasing, and Materials Engineering activities of the proposed changes (with reasons) by submission of a
19、 completed Suppliers Request for Engineering Approval, SREA. For parts and components using Ford Engineering Material Specifications, all samples tested to the specifications for Design Verification (DV), Production Verification (PV) and Producation Part Approval Process (PPAP) sign off must be kept
20、 until Job 1. 4.5 RESTRICTED SUBSTANCE MANAGEMENT STANDARD Substance restrictions imposed by regulations or Company direction applies to the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are identified in the Restricted Substance Management Standard WSS-M99P9999-A/latest which is updated ye
21、arly. It is the suppliers responsibility to comply with this standard on a continuing basis. 5.
