2、BRIC, CHILTERN II PATTERN, NON-WOVEN, WSS-M5H44-A2 210 g/m2, 100% VIRGIN 1. SCOPE The material defined is a Chiltern II pattern needled non-woven polyester face fabric. Material conforming to WSS-M5H44-A1/A2 is 100% virgin yarn. 2. APPLICATION The WSS-M5H44-A1 specification was released originally f

3、or material used as an interior trim fabric for Everest 2015 MY for headliner component and the WSS-M5H44-A2 version was released originally for material used as an interior trim fabric for Ecosport 2018 MY for headliner component. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 APPROVED SOURCES This specification requires the

4、 use of approved sources. Only the sources identified on the Ford Approved Source List (ASL) can be used when this specification is listed on the drawing, CAD file, or other documents. The list of approved sources is located within Ford at or available externally through a Ford Materials Engineer.

5、3.2 WSS-M5H44-A1/A2. This specification is based on virgin materials. 3.3 FABRIC PERFORMANCE In addition to the requirements listed herein, the fabric shall meet all requirements of WSS-M8P27-A1/latest as applicable. Materials manufactured to this Specification may also need to meet the following ap

6、plicable Specifications: Headlining Formed Performance: WSS-M15P27-F/latest IP and Soft Interior Assembly Performance: WSS-M15P45-A/latest Sun Visor Assembly Performance: WSS-M98P3-B/latest 10% Transmittance Fixed Tinted Glass Sunshade: WSS-M5H33-B/latest 0% Transmittance Moonroof/Sunroof: WSS-M5H34

7、-B/latest 3.4 APPEARANCE The color, pattern, and finish shall match the approved Corporate Design master sample. 8、ications must meet the requirements outlined in WSS-M99P2222-D1/latest, Performance, Vehicle Interior Environmental Quality Material/Component Requirements. Data must be included in material submission package. 3.6 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONS All test values are based on material conditioned fo

9、r not less than 24 h prior to testing in a controlled environment of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity. 12、ION The information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. 13、 3 of 3 4.1 Purchase departments will ensure that the material defined in this specification and shipped to any one assembly plant will be produced by one supplier only. Each regional location of the supplier for this specification must provide a construction package and be approved to meet this spe

14、cification. 4.2 If yarn is locally sourced it must meet the above fabric construction, composition and yarn construction. 4.3 APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Suppliers desiring approval of their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from Purchasing, Design or Product Development, and Material

15、s Engineering. The supplier shall submit a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstrating full compliance with all the requirements of the Material Specification. Tested material samples must be available for r

16、eview upon request and kept for a minimum of one year. Upon request, the supplier will review the associated quality control documents (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Control Plans, Certification testing) with Ford. 4.4 SUPPLIERS ONGOING RESPONSIBILITY All materials must be equivalent in

17、 all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted. Prior to making any changes to the material originally approved, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the supplier shall notify the affected Supplier Technical

18、 Assistance (STA), Purchasing, and Materials Engineering activities of the proposed changes (with reasons) by submission of a completed Suppliers Request for Engineering Approval, SREA. For parts and components using Ford Engineering Material Specifications, all samples tested to the specifications

19、for Design Verification (DV), Production Verification (PV) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) sign off must be kept until Job 1. 4.5 RESTRICTED SUBSTANCE MANAGEMENT STANDARD Substance restrictions imposed by regulations or Company direction applies to the materials addressed by this documen

20、t. The restrictions are identified in the Restricted Substance Management Standard WSS-M99P9999-A/latest which is updated yearly.
