2、62-A LOW VISCOSITY AT -30 C NOT TO BE USED FOR NEW DESIGN 1. SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a glycol ether, DOT 3 type brake fluid. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for fluids used in the braking system of motor vehicles. 3. REQUIREMENTS The material mus

3、t conform to all the requirements of FMVSS 116 DOT-3 motor vehicle brake fluid. In addition, this material must also conform to the following properties: 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Pr

4、oduction Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.1 E.R.B.P., C min 260 (Equilibrium Reflux Boiling Point - FMVSS 116, S6.1) 3.2 W.E.R.B.P. at 1.5% (Total) water content, C min 180 (Wet Equilibrium Reflux Boiling Point) 3.3 FLASH POINT, C min 135 (ASTM D 92) 3.4 VISCOSITY, mm2/sec max, at: -30 C 350 0 C 40 20

5、C 15 100 C 5 4. GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. All of the above tests are to be performed on each lot with the exception of the stroking test FMVSS 116, S5.1.13, which shall be performed yearly and included with the yearly certifications. 4.1 WARNING This material is hydroscopic, all containers must be air sealed or prevent the admission of moisture through breathing devices, as the presence of moisture in minute amounts lowers the boiling point of this material.
