SCOPE The materials defined by these specifications are solvent free based rust preventive compounds with minimum 99% solid content and contain an UV- marker. 2. APPLICATION These specifications were originally re

3、leased for cavity waxes sprayed into box sections below the floor panel (rocker panel, side and cross members, etc.), in the engine compartment and to lower areas of pillars, doors, hood and tailgate. They are applied to the vehicle body after the paint process, prior to final assembly. 3. REQUIREME

4、NTS 3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 MATERIAL PROPERTIES 3.2.1 Non Volatile content, min 99% (FLTM BI 102-01) 3.2.2 Viscosity See initial sample 3

Drying can be accel

6、erated by heating the body after waxing or by pre-heating the body prior to applying the wax. Film thickness (on test panels) 25 +/- 5 m “Heat kick“ 3 minute at 60 C, Drying time (drip free, after heat kick) immediately at RT 3.2.6 Storage Stability The storage stability must be adapted to the clima

7、te conditions at the individual plant. Minimum storage conditions for 6 months at 32 C all waxes: 6 months at 5 C and Additionally for tropical climates: 3 months at 40 C After the storage, the material shall not show any insoluble separation or coagulation and must meet all specification requiremen

8、ts. 3.3 PERFORMANCE PROPERTIES Wax according to specification WSS-M7C96-A1 must meet all requirements of WSS-M21P35-A, wax according to specification WSS-M7C96-A2 must meet all requirements of WSS-M21P35-A2. 4. GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for clarification and assista

9、nce in meeting the requirements of these specifications. 4.1 MATERIAL REFERENCE All related materials used for approval of cavity wax according to this specification, e.g. substrate, paint materials, solvents, etc. as well as the application parameter (viscosity, film thickness, drying conditions) shall be noted in the Initial Sample Report of the wax.
