SCOPE The materials defined by these specifications are sea
3、t belt webbings woven with either twisted or untwisted continuous filament yarns and finished selvages and may have a monofilament reinforcement. WSS-M7H58-A is an 18 fine panel herringbone weave and WSS-M7H59-A is a 9 panel wide border weave. Proper dyes and dyeing procedures shall be employed, the
4、 yarns may be spun dyed or the webbing may be piece dyed to provide acceptable color, appearance, and physical properties. A surface finish may be applied to enhance abrasion resistance and/or surface friction. Color stripping for redyeing of webbing rejected for color is not allowed. The webbing sh
5、all be of good quality and uniform construction. 2. APPLICATION These specifications were originally released for materials used in the manufacture of seat belts. 3. REQUIREMENTS In addition to the requirements listed herein, materials approved to these specifications must also meet all applicable r
6、equirements of marketplace National Standards such as C/FMVSS 209, ECE 16, ADR 4, JIS D4604, etc. Material specification requirements are to be used for initial qualification of materials. 3.1 QUALITY SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Quality Syst
7、em Requirements. 3.2 INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY AND/OR THERMAL ANALYSIS IR spectra and thermograms established for initial approval shall constitute the reference standard and shall be kept on file at the designated material laboratory. All samples shall produce IR spectra and thermograms that corre
8、spond to the reference standard when tested under the same conditions. 9、d atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5 % relative humidity for not less than 24 h prior to testing and tested under the same conditions unless otherwise specified. 3.4 APPEARANCE The color, pattern and finish shall match the initial construction approved by Design Center. 15、ability requirements will vary depending on individual vehicle system needs and marketplace. Therefore, pliability test method and requirements are to be agreed upon by the seatbelt system and webbing suppliers. The method and agreed upon requirements will be submitted with the initial source approv
16、al and made a part of the record. 18、ineering parts specification, performance specification, System Design Specification (SDS) and/or Component Design Specification (CDS). 3.16.1 Crease Recovery The seat belt system manufacturer and/or the vehicle assembly plant may require specific crease recovery requirements, where induced creasing
19、 of the webbing may be caused by specific folding requirements and/or storage. The induced creasing on the webbing may, under certain circumstances, prevent the webbing from retracting fully. The test method and specific measured values, should be added to the Engineering Drawing and agreed upon bet
20、ween the supplier and the affected Materials Engineering and Restraints Engineering Activities. 21、 in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted. Prior to making any changes to the material originally approved under this specification, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the Supplier shall notify the
22、 affected Purchasing, and Materials Engineering activities (with reasons) of the proposed changes. Upon notification of the Company, further instructions will be provided. Note: Suppliers should be prepared to provide test data and samples demonstrating compliance to this specification, if requested
23、. Substance restrictions imposed by regulations or Company direction applies to the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are identified in Restricted Substance Management Standard WSS-M99P9999-A1. 4. APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Materials defined by this specification for direct supply to
24、 the Company must have prior approval. Certain materials subcontracted by part suppliers may also require prior approval. These include materials critical to the Companys business for regulatory, safety, environmental or compatibility requirements or contractual agreements. Suppliers desiring approv
25、al of their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from Purchasing, Design or Materials Engineering activity. Upon request, the Supplier shall submit a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstra
26、ting full compliance with all the requirements of this specification. 5. GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. 5.1 Purchase departments will ensure that materials defined in the specification and shipped to any one vehicle in an assembly plant will be produced by one supplier only.
