APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material to provide sealing to engine cooling systems. It is not intended to be used as a production
3、 repair item prior to vehicle inspection. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 COMPOSITION CERTIFICATION The supplier shall certify th
4、e pellet composition. 3.3 COMPOSITION The material shall consist of a finely milled mixture of vegetable matter. 3.3.1 Vegetable Matter, wt % Pecan Nut Shell 25 - 35 Ginger Rhizomes 45 - 55 Microcrystalline Cellulose 15 25 3.3.2 The compound shall be free of silicates, metallic powders, corn meal, t

6、 pellets must meet the requirements of this specification and must meet the requirements of Ford Customer Service Division. 3.5 SIEVE ANALYSIS, U. S. Place one pellet at a time in a mortar and break up with 5 impacts of the pestle. Revolve the pestle inside the mortar to continue breaking up the pelleted particle
8、s until they are a uniform size. . Place the granulated material in the sieve rack and sieve on Rotap machine for 10 min according to ASTM C 92. . 13、ate by completely mixing 5 grams of anti-leak pellet with 2500 mL of current factory fill coolant solution (50%). Evaluate in an actual vehicle degas bottle, or other container as approved by the jury. Jury may consist of the appropriate Materials Engineering Activity, the Responsible Engine Coolant Engineering Activity, Vehicle Design and Release Engineers and Laboratory Personnel. The pellet supplier should keep internal standards from these samples to use for quality control purposes.
