SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a solid lubricant,
2、consisting of a clear polyethylene wax emulsion in water. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material applied to tube nuts on brake lines to provide consistent torque tension control. 3. REQUIREMENTS Material specification requirements are to be used for initial qualificat
3、ion of materials. 3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 TOTAL SOLIDS 24 - 26% (ASTM D 2834, 2 grams, 125 +/-2 C for 50 min.) 3.3 pH 9.4 - 10.0 (ASTM E
4、70) 3.4 WEIGHT 0.98 1.02 kg/L (Weight/Volume at 23 C) 3.5 FLORESCENT PIGMENT Must be present (UV light (black light) The wax emulsion must have an UV florescent pigment added to assist in detection of the film. 4. GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for clarification and assi

6、f 280 F +/- 10 F before emulsification. 4.3 CONCENTRATION A solution of 20 - 25% wax emulsion with water was used to coat the tube nuts for the torque tension trials. 4.4 UV FLORESCENT DYE The initial dye is yellow/green in color when viewed under a high intensity UV light. The liquid dye is added to the undiluted wax emulsion at a concentration of 0.85ml/liter (6 oz/55 gal).
