The purpose of thistestisto determinethat the fuse protection in every vehicle circuit is ade-quate.1.2 Foreword. Every circuit in a vehicle is protected,electrically
3、, by either a fuse or fused link. This test willverify that if a problem were to occur in a circuit thatthe only component to suffer damage would be thefuse. Also check that the damaged fuse is the correctone according to drawing.1.3 Applicability. For all fuses used in a vehicle.1.4 Definitions. No

Not applicable.4 Procedure4.1 Preparation.4.1.1 Ensure that the battery is fully charged.4.1.2 At this test t
6、he car is not started.4.1.3 A power supply unit shall be connected in par-allel to the car battery.4.1.4 The power supply voltage shall be regulated to12.0 V.4.1.5 Insert a high current switch between the batteryminus pole and the battery minus wire.4.2 Conditions.4.2.1 Environmental Conditions. Unl
7、ess otherwisespecified the test shall be performed at (+23 5) C.4.2.2 Test Conditions. Deviations from the require-ments of the test procedures shall have been agreedupon. Such requirements shall be specified on com-ponent drawings, test certificates, reports etc.4.3 Instructions.4.3.1 Ensure that t
8、he vehicle battery has green dotshowing.4.3.2 Makea listofeveryfuse nameinthe fuseblock.4.3.3 Test each fused circuit listed above by dis-connecting, the component connector closest to theground side of cicuit.4.3.4 Using the wiring diagram to determine whichwire is positive, short the positive lead
9、 of the connec-tor to ground. (If switched ignition make sure key is“ON”)If components are connected directly tobattery plus (+30) ensure that the high current batteryswitch (see pargraph 4) is OFF bevore shorteningthe positive lead of the connector to ground.Check thoroughly the wiring and other co
