5、echanical and material characteristic of the drawn arc fastener have a great influence on the processstability and process reliability.The manufacturer of the fastener shall provide and guarantee a constant high fastener quality.Therefore a quality management system shall be established to ensure th
6、e constant high quality of the products.The batch of fastener is released as soon as the raw material test and the final product test has successfullycompleted, the process capability is given and the documentation is available.4 Product Requirements4.1 Material and Geometry of Fasteners. Following
7、fastener characteristics are essential to meet the processrequirements (see paragraph 2):x Coating (Zinc-Plating) according to specification within the given tolerances (but 12 m maximum)x Material according to specification and drawing within the given tolerancesx Fastener shall be vibratory grinde

A quality test of raw material and fasteners (made of it)
9、 shall be performed to ensurethe constant process capability of the fastener. Quality tests include chemical analysis (e.g. carbon content 0.25 % by mass), micro structure, hardness etc. and shall be according to specifications and drawings.This test shall be repeated as soon as a new raw material b
10、atch is used.4.2.1 Raw Material Testing. 17、 and ShipmentThe fasteners will be used in fully automated welding equipment. Therefore packaging requires highrequirements with regard to technical cleanliness.The packaging material shall be a low-abrasion material e.g. PE bags.The fasteners shall be 100 % controlled and dustproof packed.8 Fastene
18、r Validation in PlantIn case that a fastener is used the first time at GM, the supplier of the fastener shall provide fasteners for theneed of a 3 shift serial production.The fastener is going to be released if the quality chain is documented and the plant validation result was positive.9 Notes9.1 G

20、 Test: The raw material test is a weldability test of not coated, deburred and oil- and grease freefasters. It proves the weld qualification of the raw material.Reference Welding Parameters: The reference welding parameters is a set of parameter which has to bespecified at the very first raw materia
21、l batch and a second for the final fasteners made of the batch. This fixedset of parameter shall be used for all subsequent tests.Reference Weld Quality: The reference weld quality defines a weld size with 100 % fusion and no undesirableattributes. This shall be achieved with the reference welding p
22、arameters.Process Capability: Each material batch and the fasteners made from it needs to be investigated in respect toprocess capability. The material batch and fasteners shall be welded with fixed reference welding parametersand has to achieve a defined welding quality.9.2 Acronyms, Abbreviations,
