、ISSUED DATE: 1996. 04. 10 REVISED DATE: 2008. 05. 31 VERSION: 4 GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology Note: This standard may be applied only for current project drawings generated by CATIA. It is Superceded for all future projects and replaced by Global Design Standards. 1. SCOPE This standard specifies the

、general tolerance, which is not indicated in GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology Company (hereinafter referred to as the “GMDAT“) drawings. 2. DEFINITION The general tolerance is specified to indicate the allowable tolerance for workers and help make drawings simply. The general tolerance consists of the ge

、neral dimensional tolerance and general geometric tolerance. However, if necessary to classify, both of them may be called general tolerances. 3. CLASSIFICATION SYMBOL AND INDICATION 3.1. Classification: It is classified as in the following table. Table 1. Classification of general tolerance Symbol

、. GENERAL MACHINE GEOMETRIC TOLERANCE 11.1. Scope This standard specifies the general geometric tolerance for machining part sizes of 1000mm or less, which are not specified geometric tolerance with a numerical value and a symbol in drawings, excluding tolerances of angularity, concentricity, profil

、e and position. 11.2. Tolerance classification and indications If this standard applies, a class shall be selected according to requirement on function before nothing the indication as shown in Figure 4 below. If a note for the indication with or without a class is omitted, the general tolerance of

、Table 1 shall be applied. 11.3. Geometric tolerances 11.3.1. The tolerances of straightness, flatness, runout, symmetricity and perpendicularity are shown in Table 13. 11.3.2. The roundness tolerance is equal to the numerical value of Table 13, size tolerances indicated in drawings or general size t

、olerance according to EDS-A-1101-M, whichever is the smaller. (See the Explanation below). 11.3.3. The parallelism tolerance is equal to the numerical value of Table 13, size tolerances indicated in drawings or general size tolerance according to EDS-A-1101-M, whichever is the larger. (See the Expla

、nation below). Explanation) Note) General tolerance: EDS-A-1101-M, MG1 Figure 4. Applicable example of this standard In above Figure, the roundness and parallelism tolerance for 30 are 0.1 and 0.2, respectively, because general size tolerance for 30 is 0.2 according to EDS-A-1101-M, which is larger

、than corresponding tolerance in Table 13, 0.1 and 0.08. 11.3.4. For tolerances on relative features, unless otherwise specified, the longer of two features shall apply as datum. If feature lengths are equal, either may apply as the datum. 11.3.5. General tolerance on cylindricity and concentricity a

、re not specified. The deviations of cylindricity and concentricity compose of three components (roundness, straightness and parallelism) and two components (roundness and runout), respectively. Therefore, both of them could be controlled dependently by meeting the general tolerances specified in thi

、s standard. If required to be smaller than the combined effect of general tolerances on the components mentioned above, individual tolerance of cylindricity and concentricity shall be indicated according to EDS-A-1105. 30 EDS-A-1101GENERAL TOLERANCES PAGE: 11/11 ISSUED DATE: 1996. 04. 10 REVISED DAT
