3、sion : 3 3.3 Adhesion. The plating layer of the outside surface shall not peel off when tested for adhesion according to paragraph 3.9.2. There shall be no cracks in the base metal. While roughening of the plating layer is allowed, visually observable folding and crack in the plating layer shall not
4、 be allowed. 3.4 Unpainted Corrosion Resistance. In case of the typical plating layer (20 g/m2 for each side), specify as follows. For other plating weight, specify on each part drawing. y Salt spray test: EDS-T-7143 24 Hrs, grade 2. 3.5 Paintability. The steel sheet shall be suitable for phosphatin
5、g and painting. 3.6 Formability. The steel sheets shall be preferably applied to parts whose plating layer does not peel off during press forming. 3.7 Weldability. The steel sheets shall be suitable for general fusion and resistance welding, and special attention shall be paid during welding. 3.8 Su
6、rface Conditions. 3.8.1 Unless specified otherwise, oils shall be applied on delivery, and other surface treatment may be designated as required. 3.8.2 In case of differential plating, the plated surface with larger plating weight shall be marked continuously or at proper intervals for easy identifi
7、cation. The ink used for marking shall not permeate to the matching surface and shall have no harmful effect on welding and phosphating. 3.9 Test. 3.9.1 All tests shall be performed at a temperature of 235 . 3.9.2 Adhesion Test. Adhesion of plating layer shall be tested by observing and evaluating o
8、utside of randomly-taken test piece of (20r1) mm in width and about 160 mm in length after bending it to an angle of 180q with bending radius R=t(thickness of steel sheet). The test piece shall be taken at least 50 mm or more inside of the end of steel sheet. 3.9.3 Test Standard. EDS-T-7143: Method

All materials must satisfy applicable laws, rules, regulations and recommendations valid in the country of usage. 5.2 Language. In the event of conflict between the Korean and English language, the Korean language shall take pre
14、cedence. 5.3 Inspection and Rejection. Samples of components or materials released to a GM material specification shall be tested for conformity with the requirements of this material specification and approved by the responsible Engineering department prior to commencement of delivery of bulk suppl
15、ies. A new approval must be received for any changes, e.g., properties, manufacturing process, location of manufacture, etc. If not otherwise agreed, all testing and documentation normally required for initial release must be completed. It is the responsibility of the supplier to inform the customer
16、 in a timely manner, without solicitation, and to include documentation of all modifications of materials and/or processes and to apply for a new release. If not otherwise agreed, all release tests shall be repeated and documented by the supplier prior to commencement of delivery of non-conforming b
17、ulk supplies. In individual cases, a shorter test can be agreed to between the responsible Engineering department and the supplier. 5.4 Initial Source Approval. No shipments shall be made by any supplier until representative initial production samples have been approved by the appropriate Materials
18、Engineering department(s) as meeting the requirements of this specification. 5.5 Material Safety Data Sheets/Safety Data Sheets (MSDS/SDS). For new product submissions, or when a change in chemical composition of an existing product has occurred, a complete copy of the Material Safety Data Sheet/Saf
19、ety Data Sheet must be submitted in compliance with the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) requirements or other country-specific MSDS/SDS requirements. In addition, product MSDS/SDS submissions must be in compliance with specific country General Motors TMC0
