The base metal shall be free from defects harmful to plating process, appearance after plating and use. 3.2 Plated Layer. 3
4、.2.1 The surface shall be smooth and free from defects harmful to use, discoloration, and swelling. However, the surface polished to remove luster need not be smooth. 3.2.2 The porous chromium plating may be performed to provide the cylinder, liner, piston, etc. of an internal combustion engine with
5、 oil retention after initial lubrication (wetting action). In this case, it shall be agreed upon between the parties concerned. 3.3 Plating Thickness.
