It is Superceded for all future projects and replaced by GM6298M. 1. PURPOSE This standard aims at specifying the test

3、 methods and requirements of the spring clamp. 2. SCOPE This standard applies to the coolant circulation system for vehicles (passenger cars, MPV, trucks and buses) manufactured by GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology Company (hereinafter referred to as the “GMDAT“). 3. TEST PIECE AND QUANTITY Unless specifi

4、ed otherwise, the number of test pieces for each test shall be at least 15EA for test and quality examination. Tolerance of the provided test pieces shall be within the allowable range determined through basic test (or quality assurance test by the vendor.) No. of test pieces for quality examination

5、 and engineering approval is subject to adjustment following agreements between the test piece manufacturer, Design dept and Test dept. 4. DEFINITION OF TERMS The spring clamp is mounted to the hose which connects the coolant circulation system to prevent coolant leak between the coolant circulation

6、 system and hose resulting from temperature change in the engine. 5. REQUIREMENTS Test relating to the spring clamp shall be conducted at +23 5K unless specified otherwise and each test procedure and no. of test pieces shall meet requirements in each clause. Each test piece shall meet the specified

7、properties values and requirements. 6. TEST METHODS AND STANDARDS 6.1. Free inner diameter Measure X-axis and Y-axis inner diameter of the spring clamp as shown in Fig 1. After mounting the spring clamp to a mandrel as shown in Fig 2, measure X-axis and Y-axis gap between the mandrel and spring clamp. 6.2.2. For gap measuring, use a 3mm-wide feeler gage. Fig 2 6.2.3. 9、shall meet the requirements in Table 1 and the mandrel diameter is as shown in Table 2. Inner diameter change r

Repeat 5 times of stretching the spring clamp to the maximum inner diameter and restoring to the free inner diameter as shown in Fig 3, and then measure X-axis and Y-axis inner diameter. The inner diameter change rate, based on the following formula, shall not exceed 3%: (Inner diameter after 5 repetition I Free inner diameter) / Free inner diameter)100(%) 3% 6.4. Fatigue test Repeat 100 times of stretching the spring clamp to t

12、he maximum inner diameter and restoring to the free inner diameter as shown in Fig 3. The spring shall show no signs of such defects as crack and break. 6.5. Clamping force 6.5.1. Measure the clamping force of the spring clamp when it is stretched to the nominal clamp size, with measuring point as s

13、hown in Fig 4. Fig 4 6.5.2. The mean value of measured clamping force (F= (F1+F2+F3) / 3) shall meet DWG requirements. 6.6. Corrosion test 6.6.1. Test conditions The spring clamp shall be mounted to the vehicle conditions after 5 times of stretching to the full open state with the mandrel (See 6.2.1 Table 2.) and the hose to spec assembled. 6.6.2. Corrosion test Corrosion test to EDS-T-7143, with test time of GRADE-2-480Hr. F1 F2 F3
