、DER PAGE: 1/4 ISSUED DATE: 1990. 06. 25 REVISED DATE: 2008. 10. 15 VERSION: 4 GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology Note: This standard may be applied only for current project (incl. T255 Program). It is Superceded for all future projects and replaced by GMW14284. 1. PURPOSE This standard aims at determining
、the general stiffness of the fender, which includes panel stiffness, oil canningNote 1)and dent resistance. Note 1)Oil Canning: Momentary drop of loads due to reversed surface curvature of the panel 2. SCOPE This standard applies to stiffness test of fenders of passenger cars and multi-purpose vehic
、les. Particulars not specified here shall follow the direction in drawings. 3. SAMPLE 3.1. In the event of any intentional deviation from the requirements of this standard or engineering change, the supplier shall inform GMDAT of them. 3.2. Samples shall be composed of components and parts meeting m
、aterial and dimensional requirements in drawings. Following consultation with the design engineer, however, they may be composed of parts for developmental use 3.3. Samples shall be the fender furnished with parts constituting specified in drawings. 3.4. Samples shall be coated with primer or to the
、 higher stage and those with the deadener as the standard option shall be furnished with it. 3.5. Samples shall show no sign of flaws, deformation or scratch on the surface and be free from loads that may affect test. 4. TEST EQUIPMENT 4.1. Horizontal test bed 4.2. 8、THOD 5.1. Fix the B.I.W attached it the fender to the Horizontal test bed. 5.2. Select points on the weakest portions of the fender outer panel and record the position of each measuring point in “Attachment # 1”. 5.3. Calibrate the displacement transducer, load cell and X-Y recorder. 5.4. Mount the
、loading jig to the panel loading device and install it perpendicular to the fender outer panel. 5.5. Install the displacement transducer perpendicular to the fender outer panel through the center hole of the loading jig. Installation shall be such that the displacement transducer will not get distur
、bed by forward and backward movement of the loading jig. 5.6. Apply loads of 50N, 200N and 400N step by step. For each load, measure the elastic + plastic deformation (E + P) and plastic deformation (P) to record them on “Attachment #1”. At the same time measure the displacement and load to plot the
、m into graph. 5.7. After completing test in “5.6”, inspect the loading point on the outer panel under bright illumination and record presence of dent on Attachment #1. 5.8. Using the displacement-load curve obtained in “5.6”, read the oil canning of the side panel to record it on “Attachment #1”. 5.
、9. For all measuring points, repeat “5.5” to “5.8”. Reference target of fender outer panel stiffness Under small load (50N Max.): MAX. 0.050 mm/N Deformation (E+P) under 200N: Max. 15 mm Load generating dent: Min. 200 N. Load generating oil canning: Min. 150 N 6.2. For evaluation, compare the result with that of another model. GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology Attachment #1 EDS-T-3301 PAGE : 4 / 4 VERSION: 4
