It is Superceded for all future projects and replaced by GMW3136. 1. PURPOSE This standa
3、rd specifies whether the safety glass has a certain min. resistance to abrasion. 2. SCOPE This standard applies to the safety glass (laminated glass with a high molecular film) for the front glass of automobiles 3. TEST PIECE (SPECIMENS) 3.1. Laminated glass : Flat laminated glass measuring approx.
4、44manufactured by the same process as that for the product. 3.2. Tempered glass : Flat tempered glass measuring approx. 44cut from the same material, shall be subjected to the test. 4. APPARATUS AND INSTRUNMENTS 4.1. Abrading Instrument 4.1.1. Turntable : Rotate speed : 705 RPM The load applied to t
5、he specimen by each abrasive wheel shall be 500gf 4.1.2. Abrasive wheel The abrasive wheels, each 45 50mm in diameter and 12.5mm in thickness, are made of medium-hard rubber in which abrasives are imbedded. The hardness of the abrasive wheel shall be 725 IRHD. 4.2. Haze meter 4.2.1. Light source : T
6、he light source shall be an incandescent lamp lighting at a color temperature of 285650K. 4.2.2. Light source part : light beam 71mm 4.2.3. Receiver : An integrating sphere provided with reflectance standard. 5. PROCEDURE 5.1. Clean the specimen 5.2. Calculate the haze values of the specimen before

Obtain the haze value when abraded by subtracting the haze value before abrasion from that after abrasion. 7.2. Three specimens shall be tested by the abrasion resistance test, and all the specimens shall be 2% max. of Haze value. 8. REFERENCE KSL 2007 Safety glasses for road vehicles
