It is Superceded for all future projects and replaced by GMW14189. 1. PURPOSE The purpose of this standard is to verify op

3、erability and endurance of Sunglass Case. 2. APPLICATION SCOPE This standard is applied to Sunglass Cases of passenger vehicles. For items not specified in this standard, specifications of relevant drawings shall be complied. 3. TEST EQUIPMENT 3.1. JIG 3.2. AIR PRESSURE CYLINDER & CONTROL BOX 3.3. P

4、USH-PULL GAUGE 3.4. HOT-COLD CHAMBER 3.5. SPEED METER OR STOP WATCH 4. PREPARATION 4.1. TEST PIECE QUANTITY 4.1.1. Three completed products shall be used as test pieces for approval test. 4.2. TEST PIECE CONDITION 4.2.1. Test pieces shall not have any defect under visual inspection. 5. TEST METHOD &

5、 REQUIREMENT All of the following required tests shall be passed. 5.1. PRIOR PREPARATION 5.1.1. Install Sunglass Case Assy on Test Jig in the same manner as on an actual vehicle. 5.1.2. Operate Sunglass Case Assy ten times prior to testing. 5.2. OPERABILITY 5.2.1. TEST METHOD EDS-T-4301SUNGLASS CASE

6、 TEST PROCEDURE PAGE: 2/3 ISSUED DATE: 2001. 06. 30 REVISED DATE: 2008. 10. 15 VERSION: 3 GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology (1) Use Push-Pull Gauge to apply load from Handle (or Lock) area towards operating directions to measure Open/Close Effort. 5.2.2. REQUIREMENT Unless otherwise specified in drawings,

7、 the Open/Close Effort prior and after Endurance Test shall be 515N. 5.3. OPEN TIME In case of Damper equipped type, the following item shall be tested. 5.3.1. TEST METHOD (1) Measure the time from Lock Release condition under Open Enable condition of Sunglass Case until Case Cover is fully stopped

8、or the time from Full Open condition to full stopped condition of Case Cover. (2) Use as a measuring device a Speed Meter that measures time using fiber optic sensor or a stop watch with 1/100 sec accuracy. (3) Take five measurements and compute its arithmetic mean for evaluation. (4) Measurements a

9、re taken four times (Initial, After Endurance Test in Room Temperature, After Endurance Test at High Temperature, After Endurance Test at Low Temperature), where each measurement session shall be conducted at designated room temperature level after Endurance Test. 5.3.2. REQUIREMENT Unless otherwise

10、 specified in drawing, Open Time of before or after Endurance Test shall be 10.5 sec and opening shall be possible at low temperature (-30). 5.4. ENDURANCE TEST 5.4.1. TEST METHOD Define one cycle as from the closed condition of Sunglass Cover, open it to the maximum extent and close it back to init

11、ial closed condition. Conduct the following tests at the rate of four cycles per minute. Sequence Temperature Condition No. of Cycles 1 Room Temperature 3,000 2 70 500 3 -30 500 5.4.2. REQUIREMENT After Operability Test and Endurance Test at each temperature condition, there shall be no deformation,

12、 damage, bonding, poor open-close condition or fracture on any area of Assy. 6. DRAWING MARKING Requirement for this test method shall be indicated on a drawing as follows. “This assy shall satisfy EDS-T-4304.” Additional requirements not specified in this standard shall be marked on relevant drawings and they shall take priority over this standard.
