It is Superceded for all future projects and replaced by GMW14612. 1. PURPOSE This standard aims at de
、termining the lateral and downward strength of the armrest attached to the seat. 2. SCOPE This standard applies to all seats with an armrest 3. TEST SAMPLES At least 3 new seat assemblies shall be tested. 4. TEST EQUIPMENT AND JIG 4.1. Jig with which to fix the seat in the vehicle condition 4.2. Gro
、ove plate 4.3. Loading and length measuring device It shall be capable of measuring loads with accuracy not exceeding 0.5Kgf and length not exceeding 0.5mm. 4.4. Loading jig 100mm and 10mm circular jigs 5. TEST METHOD AND SPECIFICATIONS 5.1. Test preparation 5.1.1. Fix the seat fixture jig onto the
、groove plate and install the seat onto the jig. 5.1.2. After folding the armrest, install the loading device and jig to the standard positions. 5.2. Test procedure 5.2.1. For downward strength test, fold the armrest and apply the vertical downward load specified in 5.2.4. to a point where the 100mm
、jig end and armrest end meet as shown in Fig 1 to measure permanent deformation at armrest end (initial load 2 Kgf) (This test item applies only to armrests with a stopper.)
