3、cedure verifies operation durability of the armrest. 2. SCOPE All types of seats with armrests mounted 3. TEST SAMPLES Minimum three new assemble seat 4. TEST EQUIPMENT AND JIG 4.1. BIW (Body in White) or jig for fitting seats in vehicle conditions 4.2. Operation durability tester 4.3. Push-pull gau
4、ge 5. METHODS AND SPECIFICATIONS OF TEST 5.1. Preparation 5.1.1. Fit the BIW or the seat-fixing jig on the durability tester, and then mount a seat on the BIW or the jig. 5.1.2. Set the seat adjuster systems other than the armrest to the position specified in the design standard. 5.2. Test method of
5、 operating force 5.2.1. Measure the operating force applied to the armrest perpendicular to the operation direction of the armrest at a position 30 mm below the center of the handle (or 30 mm from the top of the seat when seat has no handle) during use, and at a point 30 mm below the top of the seat
6、 during storage as shown in fig. 1 before and after the test. 5.3. Test method of durability 5.3.1. Pull the center of the armrest handle to make it into operational state (Pull the center of armrest at a position 30 mm below the top of the armrest if there is no handle) as shown in fig. 2. 5.3.2. R
7、eturn the armrest to the condition for storage. 5.3.3. Repeat the test for 3000 cycles in speed of 20cpm. There shall be no abnormal noise or play clearance after the durability test. 5.4.2. The armrest shall be free of abnormal operation after the durability test. 5.4.3. The operating force before and after the test shall satisfy the regulations in the drawings.
