It is Superceded for all future projects and replaced by GMW3091. 1. PURPOSE To simulate emission emerge by numerical in

3、dex functional decrease of ALTERNATOR magnetic field when Battery (B+) Terminal is unexpectedly opened in vehicle manufactured by GMDAT (hereafter called the company). The overload is on vehicle wring system and may cause malfunction of electric devices. 2. Applicable extent Applied for ALTERNATOR,

4、System, Sub-System and Component to be effected. 3. TERM 3.1. Device Under Test (DUT) All electric devices to be tested. 3.2. Transient Described as changing status (between two-continuous normal conditions during short time considering time volume of observing item) or the volume. 4. DUT CONDITION

5、DUT should be mounted as sold to customer. 5. TEST EQUIPMENT 5.1. Digitizing oscilloscope Bandwidth should be over 500MHz at least and 1GIGA-sampling at minimum is to be available. 50 is applied for Input IMPEDANCE. 5.2. Resistive load 5.3. Voltage probe ATTENUATION RATIO should be 10:1 and IMPEDANC

6、E is to be over 1M at least. 5.4. Current PROBE Capacity for measuring 30A at minimum is required. 5.5. Actual road dump 6.1.1. The connection method of test equipment Connect test equipment as Fig.2. Insert Resistive l

8、oad for ALTERNATOR the maximum output on connecting test equipment. 6.1.2. Vehicle condition 6.1.3. Alternator maximum output condition - ALTERNATOR 6,500 RPM 6.1.4. Electric devices condition Set all Electric devices (On/Off available) to Off. 6.1.5. Decision method of Resistive load capacity Resis

Measure current/voltage Transient at power supply terminal of electronic system to be observed with DIGITIZING OSCILLOSCOPE. Observe waveform

10、by repeating road dump of 6-10times and malfunction of electric devices as well. 6.2. Simulation Load Dump Performed by applying numerically decreasing electric Transient to power supply terminal of electric devices from Load Dump Simulator 6.2.1. Connection method of test equipment Connect test equ

Transient Amplitude Setting Set Inner Impedance, Rising time, Amplitude of Load Dump Simulator after connecting it

15、to Transient applied point and process the setting by increasing Load Dump Simulator Output. Observe amplified waveform by connecting OSCILLOSCOPE to BNC waveform Terminal of Simulator. (Refer to Fig.1) 6.2.10. Test method Apply Transient 10times after connecting PROBE to waveform observation point

16、at Actual Load dump performance and Transient delayed time should be only 1% of Duty Cycle at this time. 1time: Print DUT I/O waveform by Graph after measuring. 9times: Record it after checking malfunction of electric devices. 6.3.
