It is Superceded for all future projects and replaced by GMW3172 1. PURPOSE This test specification contains requirements on performanc

3、e and material of etched or pressured circuits which are connected firmly with a flexible base and surface layer out of polyesterfoil. Conductors of this kind are called “Flexible flat conductor“. The test specs. to be applied and material specs. as well as form, dimensions and surface treatment are

4、 stated in the drawing. 2. TEST VALUE AND CONDITION OF DELIVERY For sampling 4 flexible flat conductors are respectively to be tested. The flexible flat conductor is supplied, incorporated in devices, lamps etc. or as component part. The flexible flat conductor must satisfy the under stated tests as

5、 component part, besides must be satisfied with the mentioned instruments of respective test specs. in assembly. The number of test samples for quality supervision is determined by the input inspection. 3. APPEARANCE The flexible flat conductor must have cleanly executed punched edge which are free

6、from metallic or other peaks and splinters. The edges must be deburred and may not lead to injury at assembly. The rails of conductor may not show folds, breaks or blowholes. Uninsulated punched edges of conductor may not be available or are allowable only on the provided contact positions just as u

7、ninsulated conductor surface. 4. MATERIAL The carrier foil is composed of a 0.075 0.125 mm thick polyester foil without polyester adhesive. The conducting material is 0.035 mm 10% thick and 99.8% clean copper with a conductance of 53Sm over mm2 min at +20 2K. The coating foil must be a 0.025 mm min

8、thick polyester foil without polyester adhesive, by choice is possible a coating pigment of 0.015 mm min thickness. The composition of flexible flat conductor must be recorded on the drawing. The width of conductor must be choosen so that a density of current of 35 A/mm2is not exceeded under workabl

Dielectric strength. Between 2 random conductors must stand a min. resistance of 5105Ohm. At a applied alternatin

10、g voltage of 1000 V any break down by surface conduction between conductors insulated from each other may not occur. Besides any break down between the flexible conductor and a plane, metallic overlay may not occur. Bare conductor segments provided in structural aspect are to be insulated suitably b

11、efore this tests. 5.2. Voltage drop The single conductors must be adjusted in its width of provided current load. The voltage drop between the terminals of conductor which lead to bulb lamp may not exceed 300 mV per 1 A current load. The voltage drop between the termianals of conductor which lead to

12、 indicator may not exceed 100 mV per 1A current load. The measurement of voltage drop succeeds with a measuring instrument with Ri = 60 Ohm at +23 5K surroundings temperature. For the current tap measurement peaks are to be required. 6. MECHANICAL REQUIREMENTS 6.1. Resistance to buckling. After 2 -

13、times performances of following break test the circuits must still satisfy the requirements of PKT. 5, besides any visible injurys may not be appeared. (except the break) Break test : Flexible flat conductors fold and compress so that a clear breaking of foil material and the conductor appears. The

15、gth The adhesive strength of conductor without coating foil on the carrier foil must amount to 0.7 N min per 1 mm conductor width, measured for carrier foil with a tensile load in direction of 90 10 . The withdrawing speed should amount to 50 mm/min. 6.3. Bending strength The contact lug (one - side

16、d, bared conductor) may not show any cracks or other injurys to following test. The contact lug in angle of min 180 bend about a radius of 0.5 mm so that the bared conductor side stands to the outer side of bending radius. The contact lug is loaded with a 0.5 kg weight in this position for 24 h. EDS

Temperature All conductors and electrical connections must remain completely operably during and after 25 temperature cycles. A cycle is compo

18、sed of 1 h at -40 2K 1 h at +22 2K 1 h at +85 2K 7.2. Humidity test The flexible flat conductors are exposed to the condenser water air conditioning test according to EDS-T-7005-D1 (1 = 24 h 1 h Dry time at +23 5K subsequent again 24h). After and during the test any conductor may not be loosened from the base or the surface layer . The electrical function of conductor must be guaranteed. The electrical votage drop between rivetings, crimpings and plug connections which are firmly connected with the flexible flat conductor may not exceed 10 mV each 1 A current load per contact positions.
