Function test The function of switches must be guaranteed at +235K and after min. 24 hours storage at -403 and at +802.5, however that may be after 1 hour storage at +902.5 and after subsequent test at +235. At driving
2、vibrations to be imitated by percussing of switch by hand, any automatic stop of function or change of switch position may not result. The actuating levers at the switch type A must be exchangeable with one another at all suppliers. Besides after 5-times insertings and removals of the actuating leve
3、r, an extracting force of min. 30N must be available. The lever must fix tightly in its mounting and may not rattle. All movable parts of the signal switches may not rattle. The mirror between housing and yoke may not exceed 0.25mm. All supports and gliding planes must be greased in with a suitable
4、grease witch must guarantee a perfect function of the switch in the required range of temperature. 6.3. Actuating ways and switch forces 6.3.1. The actuating ways and switch forces for the various switch functions are indicated in the respective drawing. The measuring of the feed motions and switchi
5、ng forces results at the switches with linear feed motion in actuating direction. The measuring of the switching moments at rotary switches (type A) results with a torsion measuring device which is attached coaxially with the axle of swich. The switching forces are determined on the point of force a
6、pplication determined in the drawing on a corresponding measuring device of switching force. 6.3.2. The recompressive force FN1on the lever arm N1determined according to drawing should be (42) N over the maximum actuating force P max(see switch drawing). Because the point of force application of act
7、uating lever (81) on the control lever of the switch does not agree with the point of force application determined according to drawing, the value to be adjusted for the recompressive force on the actuating lever FN2must be corrected according to the lever arm. 10、6.4. Voltage drops on the switches 6.4.1. The voltage drop on the switches is investigated at the cable connecting positions on the switch housing and at the flat pin terminals at the loads specified in the following chart. If the cable connecting positions are not accessible, informations about the
11、 measuring points and the voltage drops permissible in this case are taken out from the belonging drawing. Blinking switch with track-shifting switch and parking light switch The blinking switch must endure 115 000 switching cycles at a contact load with 3 lamps 12V, 21W at
16、operation at +235 without rejection (1 switching cycle = switch on the right-switch off-switch on the left-switch off). Subsequently the blinking switch must endure ambient temperature without malfunction at uniform electr. load per 2500 switching cycles at +602.5K and -203K. The disconnection of th

The parking light switch is loaded with a lamp 12V, 10W over 10 000 switching cycles and subsequently tested with the blinking switch over 110 000 switch

Throw-over switch for dim light-bright light with by-pass light signal The throw-over switch must endure 48000 switching cycles at an electr. load with 2 piece halogen lamps 12V, 60/55W at operation at +235K without rejection. (1 switching cycle = dim -2 by-pa
19、ss light signal-fade in). Subsequently the lighting switch must endure ambient temperature without malfunction at uniform electr. load per 1000 switching cycles at +602.5K and -203K. The switch must be previously stored so long at the test temperature that its component parts accepted the test tempe

Anti-collision light switch or alarm switch The anti-collision light switch must endure 8000 switchings at acontact load with 6 lamps 12V, 21W at operation at +235K without rejection. Connection lead (type A) The leads of cable connections must correspond to the specification EDS-T-5241 (color of safety hoses : black).
30、The soldered connections of leads on the switches must endure a tensile load of min. 100N. 6.7. Expression forces of plug (type B) The plugs connected in the switch earth or secured by exhibition noses must endure an expression force of 150N. 6.8. Abrasive resistance of switch symbols The abrasive r
31、esistance of the switch symbols on switch lever is tested and judged according to the test method described in EDS-T-7619. For the evaluation the requirements of class YA are the basis. 6.9. Resistance to temperature and humidity of the air The switches are stored 48h at an ambient temperature of +4
32、02.5K and 95% rel. humidity of the air. Release-
33、and overswitching force The backspace pawl of signal switch must endure a release- or overswitching force determined in the respective drawing without break or damage of function. 6.10.1. Release force is the force, with which over the resetting-segment in the caster, the retting of switch is effect
34、ed over the backspace pawl. 6.10.2. Overswitching force is the force, with which at locked switch lever and turning of caster, the resetting segment brings the backspace pawl to the avoidance. 7. EVALUATION The requirements indicated at the various tests must be fulfilled by the all tested switches.
35、 During and after the endurance test, any malfunction may not occur on the switches, which diminishes the usefulness or leads to failure. If a switch fails prematurely during the endurance test, a retest is to be performed with 10 switches. If 2 or more switches fail, the sample is to be rejected. 8
36、. TEST OF VEHICLE The switches must endure a range of action to be determined by the GMDAT Technical Center under normal or specially defined driving conditions without rejection in the vehicle. If the supplier of the parts has to perform a test connected with it, this is to be specially arranged. R
37、emark : This position is to be used only at the development and/or sampling of switches. 9. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS 9.1. Approved suppliers see release or release of detail drawing. 9.2. Other indications see detail drawing. 10. INDICATION IN DRAWINGS, TEST SPECIFICATIONS AND SUCH THINGS In drawings, test specs and such things, this specification is indicated as follows : “Test specification according to EDS-T-5217.“ 11. DEVIATION Deviations from this specification or additional requirements must be specially agreed.
