The tastings are, if nothing different is specified, to be performed a

、t +23 E 5K. The number and sequence of tastings per pump are specified at the end of this test specification. The defined characteristic values and requirements must be satisfied by any pump. 4.1.1 Pump, Suction Behavior, Current Consumption. The pump must suck in and convey the washing solution per

、fectly after filling the tank. Pumps, which are arranged spatially separate from the tank, must besides be naturally - aspiratedly designed and convey perfectly the wash solution from a suction height of min. 50 mm. These pumps must be operable in every arbitrary fitting position. The current consum

、ption of the pump (IP) should not exceed 17 A after a switching time of 1 ) 4 seconds. 4.1.2 Concepts. 4.1.2.1 Pressure P. The pressure P is the maximal static overpressure measured at the nozzles of the high - pressure headlamp cleaning system (s. fundamental representation of the test setup for th

、e measurement of pressure in the Appendix 2 of this specification). 4.1.2.2 Volume V. The volume V is the quantity of testing medium conveyed by the pump after a manipulation through the nozzles of the high - pressure headlamp cleaning system. 4.1.2.3 Test Voltage Up. The voltage value at which the

、test of pump is performed. The amount of voltage is given in the individual testing points. The voltage up is directly measured with the pump. 4.1.2.4 Current IP. The current flowing during the operation of pump at employed test voltage up. 4.2 Performance Requirements. 4.2.1 Visual and Dimensional

、Test. 4.2.1.1 General. The dimension sizes defined in this test spec., in the releases and in the constructional drawing of pump and their tolerances must be satisfied by the pump. Formal defects, damages or scarcities, such as pores, bubbles, cracks, material overlaps, binding defects and burrs, wh

、ich could impair the strength, the function or the appearance of the pump, are not permissible. The pump must be so designed that it is protected against impurities, such as mud, turnings which could impair the function until to the assemblage. 4.2.1.2 Characterization. The pump must be characterize

、d by the makers mark, GM trade mark and the Part No. in lettering A2-8, A3-12, A4-16 or A5-20 to DIN 30640, Part 2. Likewise the nominal voltage UN = 12 V must be placed in lettering A3, 5-14 to DIN 30640, Part 2. The characterization must be designed elevated, well - visible and durable and may not

、 impair the operability of the pump. 4.2.2 Material Test. 4.2.2.1 General. All materials used for the pump must correspond to the drawing specifications and material specifications as well as the specifications in the releases, especially for the pump hydrolysis - allergic materials, such as Acetal

If parts of the pump are composed of a material in danger of tension crack, such as polyamide 6.6, these are to be protected against the contact with zinc ions. Parts of the pump, which are in direct contact with the wash solution, must be manufactured of mate

、rials which correspond to the material SUS 304 with regard to their corrosion resistance. Yellow brass or bronze are not to be used in any case. These requirements are to valid for metal parts which must be ferromagnetic on the basis of their function. Such parts may not show any corrosion after a 2

、40 hours storage in the condense water contact limit according to EDS-T-7005-D. 4.2.2.2 The pump must be resistant to the testing medium used during the function test. This is valid also for the cleaning agent and additions customary in the practical operation. By the constituents of the pump come i

、n solution into this cleaning agent, the operability of the pump may not be disadvantageously influenced. 4.2.2.3 Resistance to Ozone of the Elastomer Parts of the Pump. Test the ozone resistance of the elastomer parts of the pump corresponding to EDS-T-7405 - 2B2U. For the conditioning, the test sp

Store pump corresponding to the following arrangement i

、n the given sequence: GM KOREA ENGINEERING STANDARDS EDS-T-5229 Copyright 2011 General Motors Company All Rights Reserved December 2011 Page 5 of 10 Version : 3 Minimum 12 hours at +23 E 5K 120 minutes at +90 E 2.5K 180 minutes at +23 E 5K 120 minutes at (-40) E 3K Minimum 3 hours at +23 E 5K After

、then the pump may not show any crack, any deformation etc. which impair the operability. 4.2.4 Dry Operation of the Pump. Manipulate pump 6 times within 1 minute at employed test voltage over the time relay. After this test the function ability of the pump may not be impaired. 4.2.5 Function Test with Testing Medium. 4.2.5.1 Test Arrangement.
