It is Superceded for all future projects and replaced by GMW3172. 1. PURPOSE The purpose of this standard is to make right estimation of

3、 antennas applied to the automobiles manufactured by GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology Company (hereinafter referred to as the “GMDAT“). 2. SCOPE If nothing else indicated, this standard specifies the method of test for antennas applied to the automobiles by GMDAT. 3. DEFINITION 3.1. Antenna Antenna refer

4、s to the automatic and manually-operated antenna used for automobiles by GMDAT. 3.2. Test voltage Test voltage refers to the voltage indicated on the drawing or the test standard, used for the performance and durability test for the antenna. 4. TEST CONDITIONS 4.1. Standard atmospheric conditions fo

5、r testing Unless otherwise specified, the test shall be performed at room temperature and humidity specified in KS A 0006(Standard Atmospheric Conditions for Testing). 4.2. Number of test pieces Unless otherwise specified, 6 test pieces shall be tested. 5. MEASURING INSTRUMENTS AND APPARATUS FOR TES

6、TING 5.1. General For the measuring instruments and apparatus for testing, the ones calibrate by the national calibration institute, have a valid calibration term shall be used in principle. 5.2. DC power supply It shall be a calibrated one and its maximum load current shall meet the specification i

7、n drawings or test standards. It shall have an idle capacity of +50% in preparations for leakage of overcurrent. 5.3. 8、03(Indicating Electrical Instruments) 5.4. Ammeter Grade 0.5 or more specified in KS C 1303(Indicating Electrical Instruments) 5.5. RCZ meter Its measuring frequency is 1 MHz at D.C and grade 0.11%. 5.6. Thermostatic container A container capable of keeping the temperature of -40 to +90 with a toler

9、ance of +2.0 and capacity of 100 liter min. The container shall be able to adjust relative humidity up to 95% at a specific temperature. 5.7. Water spray A spray capable of performing a test according to KS R 0051(Method of Moisture and Water Resistance for Automobile Parts). 5.8. Salt spray A spray

10、 specified in KS D 9052(Method of Salt Spray Test for Automobile Parts). 5.9. Vibration tester A tester capable of tests in KS R 1034(Method of Vibration Test for Automobile Parts). 5.10. Control box for durability tests The control box shall be able to apply or out-off power source, and the number

11、of operations shall be indicated digitally. The control box shall cut-off power source applied to the antenna automatically after completion of testing. In case of erroneous working, it shall sense the error and the number of operations of that moment. 6. TEST 6.1. Appearance test 6.1.1. Visual test

12、 (1) The appearance test shall be performed by visual inspection. (2) The presence of defects such as harmful flaws, and cracks, which affect the function of the antenna shall be inspected visually. 6.1.2. Dimensional test (1) Vernier calipers specified in KS B 5203(Vernier Calipers) shall be used a

13、nd test samples shall conform to the material in the engineering specification and the dimension of the samples shall conform to the drawing. 6.2. General performance 6.2.1. 14、5 GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology (1) DC 500V shall be applied to insulation resistance tester. (2) At this time, insulation resistance shall be 100 min. 6.2.2. Electrostatic capacity (1) The antenna shall be installed in fully extended condition on the center of a metal plate of 1m2(or 11m). (2) The me

15、tal plate shall be installed on the table of 1m in height. (3) Measurement system shall be composed as shown in Fig. 1 Electrostatic Capacity Measurement System. (4) At this time, the value of electrostatic capacity measured with RCZ-meter shall be within the range of 50 pF to 90 pF. the value of el

16、ectrostatic capacity according to drawing regulation in case of indicated regulation in drawing. (5) The electrostatic capacity of COAXIAL cable shall be determined through consultation between the parties concerned and its value shall be indicated in drawings. Unless otherwise specified concerning

17、drawing or relevant standard, the electrostatic capacity of COAXIAL cable shall be within 36 pF/m. Fig. 1 Electrostatic Capacity Measurement System 6.2.3. Selectivity (Q) (1) Measuring method shall be composed in the same way as that of 6.2.2 electrostatic capacity measurement system. (2) The measur

18、ing frequency of RCZ-meter shall be 1 MHz and the measured value at this time shall be 200 min. 6.2.4. Working voltage (1) The presence of normal working shall be checked by applying the voltage of direct current power supply, set at 9V of minimum working voltage, to the antenna. (2) The presence of

19、 normal working shall be checked by applying the voltage of direct current power supply, set at 15V of maximum working voltage, to the antenna. 6.2.5. Working current (1) When the voltage of direct current power supply, set at 13.5V, is applied to the antenna, the consumption EDS-T-5408ANTENNA TEST

(2) Maximum consumption value shall not exceed 15A at the working and constraint of the antenna. 6.2.6. Working time (1) Working time shall be checked by applying

21、 the voltage of direct current power supply, set at 9V of minimum working voltage to the antenna. At this time, the working time shall not exceed 7 seconds 20%. (2) Working time shall be checked by applying the voltage of direct current power supply, set at 15V of minimum working voltage to the ante

22、nna. At this time, the working time shall not exceed 5 seconds 20%. 6.2.7. Working force (1) The working force shall be measured by applying the voltage of direct current power supply, set at 9V of minimum working voltage to the antenna. At this time, the value measured at 10cm from the projected ar

23、ea of the antenna shall be 5kgf min. (2) Manually-operated antenna working force shall be 0.3 6 Kgf. 6.2.8. Contact resistance (1) The antenna pole shall be extended fully. (2) The contact resistance of RCZ-meter shall be measured with the interval between two poles of antenna 10mm. (3) The contact

24、resistance measured at this time shall not exceed 15m. 6.2.9. Parallel equivalent resistance (1) The measuring method shall be composed in the same way as that of 6.2.2 electrostatic capacity measurement system. (2) The measuring frequency of RCZ-meter shall be 1 MHz. The initial value measured at t

25、his time shall be 800 min., the value measured right after mud test shall be 40 and 24 hours after the completion of mud test shall be 200 min. 6.3. Temperature exposure test 6.3.1. High temperature exposure test (1) The temperature of the thermostatic container shall be adjusted to the test tempera

26、ture specified in the test drawing or test standard and shall be set at +80 unless otherwise specified. (2) The antenna shall be stored in the thermostatic container when the temperature comes to the test temperature. At this time, the storage time shall start from the moment the temperature of the

27、surface of the antenna comes to the test temperature.(The time may be counted 5 minutes after storing the antenna in the container) (3) The antenna shall be stored in the thermostatic container for 96 hours consecutively. (4) The value measured from the antenna, which has completed its tests and the

28、n been stored in the room temperature and humidity for 2 hours, automatic antenna to clause 6.2.1 to 6.2.6, Manually-operated antenna 6.2.16.2.3, 6.2.76.2.9 shall not deviate from 5%. 6.3.2. Low temperature exposure test (1) The temperature of the thermostatic container shall be adjusted to the test

(2) The antenna shall be stored in the thermostatic co

30、ntainer when the temperature comes to the test temperature. At this time, the storage time shall start from the moment the temperature of the surface of the antenna comes to the test temperature.(The time may be counted 5 minutes after storing the antenna in the container) (3) The antenna shall be s

31、tored in the thermostatic container for 72 hours consecutively. (4) The value measured from the antenna, which has completed its tests and then been stored in the room temperature and humidity for 24 hours, automatic antenna to clause 6.2.1 to 6.2.6, Manually-operated antenna 6.2.16.2.3, 6.2.76.2.9

32、shall not deviate from 5%. 6.3.3. High temperature and humidity exposure test (1) The temperature and humidity of the thermostatic container shall be adjusted to the test temperature and humidity specified in the test drawing or test standard and shall be set at +70 and 95% unless otherwise specifie

33、d. (2) The antenna shall be stored in the thermostatic container when the temperature and humidity comes to the test temperature and humidity. At this time, the storage time shall start from the moment the temperature and humidity of the surface of the antenna comes to the test temperature and humid

34、ity.(The time may be counted 5 minutes after storing the antenna in the container) (3) The antenna shall be stored in the thermostatic container for 24 hours consecutively. (4) The value measured from the antenna, which has completed its tests and then been stored in the room temperature and humidit

35、y for 24 hours, automatic antenna to clause 6.2.1 to 6.2.6, Manually-operated antenna 6.2.16.2.3, 6.2.76.2.9 shall not deviate from 5%. 6.4. Mud water test 6.4.1. The antenna shall be installed in a water tank for mud water test. 6.4.2. After installing the antenna, the tank shall be filled with mud

36、 water until the depth of water reaches 30mm within the tank from initial antenna end part. Based on the amount of water at this time, per 1N of water in the tank, 90g of Arizona dust No. 154309, 20g of salt and 10g of liquid soap shall be mixed. 6.4.3. The antenna shall be operated 50 times with wo

37、rking cycle 2 times per 1 minute. Mud water shall be mixed by blowing air until the completion of the test so that the mixture may not be settled. 6.4.4. During the mud water test, the presence of normal working shall be checked, and if completed, 6.2.9 parallel equal value resistance shall be measu

38、red. 6.4.5. Measuring method shall be composed in the same way as that of 6.2.2 electrostatic capacity measurement system. 6.4.6. Measuring frequency of RCZ meter shall be 1 MHz and measured value at this time shall be 40 right after the completion of the mud test and 200 or more 24 hours after the

The antenna shall be mounted at a vehicle mounting angle and then placed in the salt sprayer with the housing

40、 assembled. 6.5.2. The salt water containing 5% of sodium chloride shall be mixed with 95% of distilled water. At this time, in sodium chloride, there shall be no nickel, 0.1% or less of chloride in dry condition, and total impurities of 0.3% or less. 6.5.3. PH value of spray liquid in the salt spra

41、yer, measured at +253, shall be 6.57.2 pH and salt water shall be sprayed at a temperature of +35. 6.5.4. At this time, salt water shall not be sprayed directly to the product. Spraying time shall be 144 hours for chrome or stainless metal plate and 48 hours for zinc coated or zinc plate. 6.5.5. Upo

42、n the completion of salt water spray, the antenna shall be slightly washed in the warm water of +35 or less, removing the salt water residue. The antenna shall be dried for a hour and then shall be inspected for the presence of corrosion. 6.5.6. At this time, coupling and related metal parts shall n

43、ot be corroded. 6.6. Freezing resistance 6.6.1. The automatic antenna shall be installed at a vehicle mounting angle onto the spray tester. 6.6.2. The 6 hours of spray shall be performed in accordance with KS R 0051. 6.6.3. The antenna shall be dried at room temperature and humidity for an hour and

44、then stored at -20 for 16 hours. The working voltage test 6.2.4 shall be performed on the antenna. 6.6.4. The working of the antenna shall be normal at this freezing condition. 6.7. Durability test 6.7.1. Temperature and humidity cycle test (automatic antenna) (1) The automatic antenna shall be inst

45、alled at a vehicle mounting angle and then placed in thermostatic container. (2) The voltage shall be set at 12.8V. (3) The control unit for durability test shall be adjusted so that the working cycle of the antenna may be 2 times per 1 minute. (4) Based on the drawing, number 96162048, temperature

46、and humidity cycle test shall be performed. (5) At this time, the working of the automatic antenna shall be normal, , automatic antenna to clause 6.2.1 to 6.2.6 shall not deviate from 5%. the deflection of the antenna from the upper end part shall not be 10cm max. and leakage amount of grease shall

47、be adequate. 6.7.2. Durability test (Manually-operated antenna) (1) Manually-operated antenna shall be operated 3000 times with working cycle 1 times per 1 minute, Manually-operated antenna to clause 6.2.1 to 6.2.3, 6.2.7 to 6.2.9 shall not deviate from 5% EDS-T-5408ANTENNA TEST PROCEDURE PAGE: 7/8

At this time, the material of the bottom shall be cement. 6.8.2. The free drop test of the antenna shall be performed,

49、 2 times for front and rear, left and right, and up and down directions respectively and then 1 time for the right and left of the corner respectively. 6.8.3. At this time, there shall no cracks or breakage on the appearance of the antenna. 6.9. Vibration test 6.9.1. The antenna shall be installed in the vehicle condition onto the vibration stand of the vibration tester. 6.9.2. The cycle of vibration test shall be 9Hz 20Hz of sine wave and the fluctuation of frequency shall be set at 1 octave per min
