It is Superceded for all future projects and replaced by GMW3172. 1. PURPOSE This test specification aims at specifying requirem

3、ents, test conditions and test methods for assembly cigarette igniter used in vehicles made by GMDAT for easy understanding, correct test and maximum utilization of such by test engineers. 2. SCOPE Samples released to this specification shall be tested according to this specification in case of samp

4、le mass production, sample production prior to commencement of delivery, sample development/approval, design change and sample improvement. 3. TEST SAMPLES AND QUANTITY Unless otherwise specified, minimum 10 pieces of cigarette igniter assemblies with a manufacturer certificate shall be delivered fo

5、r sample approval according to this specification. 4. PRE-TREATMENT Unless otherwise specified, the test shall be performed as-delivered at 235K without pre-treatment. 5. TEST EQUIPMENT 5.1. DC voltage source : controllable from 6 to 15V, 30A. 5.2. DC ammeter : DC 0 to 30A, accuracy class 0.5. 5.3.

6、DC voltmeter, 0 to 15V, accuracy class 0.5. 5.4. Stop watch, smallest graduation 0.5s. 5.5. Push-pull gauge : 0 to 50 N, precision 2%. 5.6. Equipment for fatigue test. 5.7. Material All materials used for this assembly cigarette igniter shall correspond to drawing specifications and meet the stress requirements in operation. The temperature resistance shall be guaranteed between -40 and

8、 +120. 6.2. Indication The GMDAT trade mark shall comply with EDS-A-0040 and be attached well-readable and permanently at a suitable point of the assembly cigarette igniter. 6.3. Visual inspection and dimension The parts shall be free from visible damages or flaws at delivery which would impair the

9、function or appearance. The dimensions and their tolerances shall conform to drawings. 6.4. The housing and plugs of the assembly cigarette igniter shall be so constructed in its shape and dimension as to allow compatibility with those supplied by other vendors. 7. INITIAL PERFORMANCE 7.1. Test volt

10、age The test voltage at connection of cigarette igniter shall be (130.2)V. 7.2. Current consumption The current consumption shall be 10A max. 7.3. Release time The release time after the plug of assembly cigarette igniter is pressed shall be (135) seconds. 7.4. Temperature measurement The temperatur

11、e of annealing coil of cigarette igniter shall not exceed 1200. After disconnection of voltage supply, the following temperature values must be held. 380 min. 10 second after disconnection (environmental, vibration resistance) 380 min. 5 second after disconnection (after 6000 cycles) 7.5. Insert for

12、ce 1.0 4.0 kgf 7.6. Detachment force 1.0 4.5 kgf 7.7. Insulation resistance The insulation resistance between the plus terminal of the assembly and the metal shall be minimum 5M when EDS-T-5414ASSEMBLY CIGARETTE IGNITER PAGE: 3/4 ISSUED DATE: 1996. 11. 28 REVISED DATE: 2008. 10. 21 VERSION: 3 GM DAE

13、WOO Auto & Technology measured with a 500V mega tester at the normal temperature and humidity. 8. OVERHEATING PROTECTION Following application of voltage by pressing of the plug, a 15A fuse shall melt within 90 seconds to prevent fire by overheating. Note) This test is to prevent fire hazard by over

14、heating. 9. ABRASION RESISTANCE Abrasion resistance shall conform to EDS-T-7619-YA. 10. ENVIRONMENTAL RESISTANCE When exposed to -40 to +120 for 4 hours, the test sample shall meet the initial performance requirements and be free from change in appearance or damage. 11. FATIGUE TEST The fatigue test

15、 shall be conducted 6000 cycles at one minute interval. All time other than the minimum operation time shall be the cooling time. The fatigue test cycle is as follows: Insertion pressing (voltage application) retract pulling out cooling (1 cycle) * Forced cooling shall be used to make the temperatur

16、e of the coil fall below 80. After the test, the test sample shall meet the initial performance requirements 12. VIBRATION RESISTANCE When the cigarette igniter is mounted and vibrated at 66.7 Hz and at vibration acceleration of 4.4G for 3 hours to the transversely and for 1.5 hours vertically and t

17、ransversely respectively, the joint, bolts and rivets shall not get loose and the initial performance shall be met. 13. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS 13.1. Approved suppliers shall submit the detailed component drawing. 13.2. For further details, see component drawing. 14. INDICATION ON DRAWINGS Indicatio
