2、echnology 1. PURPOSE This specification covers the requirements for tubing used for fuel tank breathing and ventilation purposes. 2. SCOPE This specification applies to tube fuel filler material, polyurethane (PUR) elastomer, thermoplastic type, free from reclaimed material. 3. APPROVAL OF DELIVERY
3、3.1. Polyurethane tubing that is applied to this specification shall satisfy the requirement of clause 8 and approved by GMDAT TECHNICAL CENTER before bulk supplies are commenced. 3.2. Any change in material or processing shall require reapproval by GMDAT TECHNICAL CENTER. The supplier must accept s
4、ole responsibility for informing the purchaser of any such change, and of re-submitting samples for approval. 4. TEST PIECES 4.1. The number, size and dimensions of test pieces shall be as specified in the relevant test method for the property concerned. For the determination of the properties to cl
5、auses 8.5 to 8.8 suitable pieces cut from the component shall be used as test pieces. 4.2. For initial sample approval and arbitration purposes at least 3 test pieces shall be tested and for routine quality control purposes at least one test piece shall be tested. 5. CONDITIONING Test pieces shall n
6、ot be tested within 72 hours of manufacture. Prior to test, test pieces shall be conditioned as required by the appropriate test methods. 6. TEST MEDIA 6.1. Test fluid to EDS-T-7012 6.2.
