、 Note: This standard may be applied only for current project (incl. T255 Program). It is Superceded for all future projects and replaced by GMW14109 & GMW15530. 1. SCOPE This standard is used to determine the press-in force and retaining force of clips used for attachment of door trim panels to vehi
、cle doors. 2. TEST PIECES AND NUMBER OF TEST PIECES 2.1. Clips according to drawing specification shall be used as test pieces. 2.2. For initial sample approval and arbitration purpose and for routine quality control at least 5 test pieces shall be tested and test results except max & min value will
、 be specified in the report. 3. CONDITIONING For initial sample approval and arbitration purposes, conditioning shall be carried out at a temperature of +232k and the relative humidity of (506)% for 16hours or more. Routine quality control tests shall be carried out on test pieces in the as received
、 condition (i.e. no special pre-conditioning). 4. APPARATUS 4.1. Humidity chamber for conditioning to the appropriate requirements of clause 3. 4.2. Tensile strength machine: A device capable of performing the press-in and extraction operation at a maximum speed of 100 mm/min. Overall accuracy of th
、e force measuring equipment shall be 2% of the measured value. One side of the device shall be equipped with a clamping fixture capable of securely holding the clip during the press-in and extraction operation. On the other side the test panel shall be clamped. 4.3. Test panel: The test panel shall
、be made from steel sheet, thickness(0.750.05)mm in the area of the test hole and (7.30.05)mm in diameter hole, or steel sheet which specially indicated on the relevant drawings. 4.4. Heating oven with air circulation capable of maintaining the required temperature within +802.5K. 5. PROCEDURE 5.1. T
、he press-in force shall be measured at +235K, the retaining force at +80 min. 5.2. The clip shall be clamped into the clamping fixture of the test device and pressed into the test hole at a uniform speed of 100 mm/min. The press-in force in N shall be read from the force indicator of the test device

EDS-T-7522TEST METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE PRESS-IN FORCE AND RETAINING FORCE OF CLIPS FOR ATTACHMENT OF TRIM COMPONENTS TO VEHICLE DOORS PAGE: 2/2 ISSUED DATE: 1995. 02. 13 REVISED DATE: 2008. 10. 15 VERSION: 5 GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology 5.3. For determining the retaining force, the clip shall be
、 extracted from the test hole at a uniform maximum speed of 100 mm/min. The retaining force in N shall be read from the force indicator of the test device(prior testing the retaining force the clip together with the test panel shall be stored in a heating oven for at least 1h at a temperature of +80
、 min). 6. EXPRESSION OF RESULTS With reference to this test method the determined individual values for press-in force and retaining force shall be recorded in N accurate to the 1 N. 7. CODING SYSTEM On drawings the press-in force and the retaining force shall be indicated as follows: Press-in force
