、 3 of 11 Version : 4 4.1.1.2 The pendulum impact tester must be fabricated according to the specifications below (See Figure 1). y Impact Hammer (in a pyramid shape) mass: 15 kg. y Pendulum Length: 1 m. y Impact Energy: 3.1 Kgfm. 4.1.1.3 The impact point must be specified in the drawings. 4.1.2 Requ
、irement. No crack must be found so that the solution can leak out. 4.2 Fuel Permeability Test. 4.2.1 Test Method. 4.2.1.1 Fill unleaded (smokeless) gasoline into the tank up to half the nominal volume and then keep the tank at a temperature 40 E for 4 weeks with all the holes and passages unblocked.
、 4.2.1.2 After 4 weeks, if the volatile rate is judged to be constant, empty the tank and re-fill unleaded gasoline up to half the nominal volume and then keep the tank with all the holes passages blocked up. 4.2.1.3 Calculate the mass of the current tank containing gasoline and keep it at a tempera
、ture of 40 E for 8 weeks. Then, measure a mass reduction. 4.2.2 Requirement. The amount of fuel transmission should be lower 20g/day. 4.3 Fuel Resistance Test. 4.3.1 Test Method. 4.3.1.1 Pick up a before-test tank to take 5 pieces from a part maintaining a regular thickness for a test of tensile str
、ength and elongation. 4.3.1.2 Perform the same activities on the tank taken following the above step “4.2”, Be sure to take 5 pieces from the same part as that of the before-test tank. (In this case, follow EDS-T-7511 for the test method and test piece specifications. The test speed must be set to 5
、0 mm/min.). 4.3.1.3 Match the before-test tank against the tested tank in tensile strength and elongation. Calculate each average except maximum and minimum values. Find the change degree. 4.3.2 Requirement. The amount of shift of the tensile strength and elongation should be between (-10)% and +10%
、. 4.4 Fire Resistance Test. 4.4.1 Test Method. Fill unleaded gasoline into the tank up to half the nominal volume and block up all the holes and passages. Mount it on to a jig or buck. Then perform the test described in four steps under the same conditions as applied to a finished car. 4.1.1.2 D&)0

The amount of the gasoline must be as much to be burnt up for 5 minutes or more. Keep it 3 meters away from the tank
、filled with unleaded gasoline up to half the nominal volume and set fire on the gasoline. Then, wait for 60 seconds. See Figure 2. Note: The pan must be longer than the tank by not less more than 20 cm and less than 50 cm. 4.4.1.2 Step 2. Assume that the fuel tank is mounted on a finished car that i
、s currently unloaded. Place the pan at a level under the tank as much clearance as is maintained between the tank and the ground. Let the tank catch fire for 60 seconds (See Figure 3). 4.4.1.3 Step 3. Place a shielding screen on the pan top at a level of (31) cm higher than the fuel surface. Let the
、 tank catch fire again for 60 seconds (See Figure 4). The shielding screen is made of fire resistance material. See Figure 6. 4.4.1.4 Step 4. Move the pan 3 m away from the tank with the screen on and put out the fire (See Figure 5). 4.4.2 Requirement. No crack must be found so that the solution can
、 leak out. 4.5 Drop Test. 4.5.1 Test Method. Fill solution of a mixture of 60% ethylene glycol and 40% water into the fuel tank up to 75 % of the nominal volume and leave the tank below (-40) E for 24 hours with all the holes and passages blocked up. Immediately, free-drop it from a height of 6 mete
、rs down to the concrete floor. 4.5.2 Requirement. The tank must not be cracked or broken into pieces so that the solution can leak out. 4.6 Inside Cleanness Test. 4.6.1 Test Method. 4.6.1.1 Block up all the fuel tank holes except the filter setting hole and fill the tank with 500 ml of unleaded gaso
、line. 4.6.1.2 Shake the tank twice up and down and twice right and left and use a piece of net having the same mesh as the fuel filter in order to strain the gasoline. 4.6.1.3 Take foreign substance strained out in the net and dry it up until the gasoline is fully removed. Then, measure its weight.
、4.6.2 Requirement. The foreign substance must not exceed 0.02 g. :0 : 4G 8t -H(8 6# 9F72P 3LFF$ . 4.4.1.1 1$ . . w8x 88pA 7$* (,h7$42* 17 )* !8F 7d7 “W#$ . 8& , 7$*8 68t .8x .8 G 5. 81 % 6| A 3L 88x 9I$4 %L66 F$ . 7$* “W8t 7d* )?7(8 50%: ,h7$42*8x =x7 7$*B%A ).Bd 3 m &6: 88?7 “ .8x .8 G , 60.H H& G
