It is Superceded for all future projects and replaced by GMW15448. 1. PURPOSE This standard aims at specifying
3、 the requirements and test methods of the defrost grille mounted to vehicles (passenger cars, MPVs, trucks and buses) manufactured by GMDAT. 2. NUMBER OF TEST PIECES Unless specified otherwise in each clause, at least 3 test pieces shall be tested for sample approval and quality control. For product
4、s divided into RH and LH, this applies to each of them. 3. CONDITIONING The test samples shall be pretreated by test specification. Products left for at least 72 hours after manufacturing shall be used for the test piece. 4. APPROVAL Each defrost grille provided as a product for tests according to t
5、his standard shall be the same with approval samples. In the event of any intentional deviation from the previously released samples, approval of GMDAT Technical Center shall be obtained. However, DVP (Design Verification Plan) samples may be separately agreed upon. 5. TEST EQUIPMENT 5.1. Forcible t
6、ype oven with circulating air that is capable of maintaining the specified temperature within 2.5 5.2. Cold chamber maintaining -403 5.3. Hot chamber unit adjusting temperature to 150 at ambient temperature 5.4. Xenon-arc type radiation tester specified in EDS-T-7415 clause 5.1 6. REQUIREMENTS 6.1.
7、The defrost grille provided as the test piece shall show no harmful defects, such as cracks. 6.2. All materials used for the defrost grille shall be in conformance with the requirements specified in the drawings. 7. TEST PROCEDURES AND EVALUATION 7.1. After the test, the part surface shall show no signs of harmful changes, such as
9、 wrinkle, color and surface change and dimensions change. 7.2. Colorfastness test The test piece shall be exposed to the radiation source according to the test procedures specified in EDS-T-7415-B. After test, the test piece shall meet requirements for Class 7 or above in EDS-T-7415-B. 7.3. Inflamma
10、bility test Test method and evaluation in accordance with EDS-T-7602. 8. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS 8.1. For further requirements in addition to those in clause 7, see drawings or material standards. 8.2. Automotive restricted hazardous substances: Materials and components of parts must comply with EDS
