T255 Program). It is Superceded for all future projects and
、 replaced by GMW14189. 1. PURPOSE This test method shall be used for the evaluation of deflection stability of formed headlining after heat stress and action of tropical climate. 2. SCOPE This standard specifies the method of measuring dimensional changes, deflection and appearance change after appl
、ying specified hot and dry air and air enriched strongly with steam in turn, to the headlining for automobiles. 3. TEST PIECE AND THE NUMBER OF TEST PIECE 3.1. Test piece 3.1.1. So far as possible, the test shall be performed on finished parts. 3.1.2. When an air conditioning chamber of small capaci
、ty is used, its minimum size shall be (10002000)mm and the headlining shall be cut uniformly on both sides so that its width may come to 980mm min. and only in the rear to make its length 1,980mm. 3.1.3. If holes for fixing the side of head lining are cut off at the time of headlining cutting and re
、maining fixing means are not sufficient, new fixing holes of the same height shall be punched side by side 20mm from the upper edge. At this time, be careful not to make tearing, cracks or other changes and at the time of evaluation after the test, consider the fact that the test was performed with
、the parts with a portion cut off. 3.2. The number of test piece 3.2.1. For initial sample approval : at least 3 test pieces 3.2.2. For routine quality control : at least 1 test piece 4. CONDITIONING For initial sample approval and routine quality control, tests shall be performed without any special
、 preconditioning. 5. TEST APPARATUS 5.1. Air conditioning chamber whose temperature variations are guaranteed to amount to no more than 0.5 on different positions and at the same time. 5.2. Test device for mounting the formed headlining 5.2.1. In order to test the formed headlining in the same condi

T
、he test device shall be designed so that it is fixed without stress on all fixing positions specified in the part drawing (sun visor, holding grip, sliding roof section etc.). 5.2.3. If any attachment is not provided on the rear narrow edge of the headlining according to the specification in the dra
、wing, the headlining shall be designed so that it can be fixed through two fixing holes punched at 20mm from the rear narrow edge and 250mm from the side edge. 5.2.4. Screws and washers for fixing shall not be corroded. 5.3. Shears and suitable device for punching holes. 5.4. Scale divided in cm and
、 mm 5.5. Template and marking stud 6. TEST CONDITIONS The test setup (test equipment or original roof construction plus formed headlining) is subjected to following cycle test. 6.1. +902.5K(241) hour, followed by 6.2. +403K(933)%RH(481) hour, followed by 6.3. +902.5K(241) hour 7. PROCEDURE 7.1. Prio
、r to putting the test setup into the air conditioning chamber, mark the measuring points specified in drawings on the lower side of the headlining for the measurement of deflection. 7.2. The height of these points shall be measured at a suitable reference plane (for example, base plate of test setup
、). 7.3. For the measurement of dimensional change, min. 1 line of min.700mm, in longitudinal and transverse direction, respectively, shall be drawn on the weakest spots to change with an accuracy of 0.25. 7.4. The gauge length markings shall clearly be perceptible and have no harmful influence on th
、e headlining. 7.5. The remeasurement test for checking the presence of deformation and dimensional change shall be performed after leaving at +235K for 605 minutes after the test. Shape change: For the evaluation of deformation and deflection, value difference (unit: mm) before and after the test shall be used. 8.2. Dimensional change: For the evaluation of dimensional change rate(unit: %) before a
、nd after the test shall be used. 8.3. Appearance evaluation: Appearance evaluation shall be performed with visual inspection method as for following items. During the evaluation, the presence of unfavorable changes such as bubble formation, waving, discoloration and the separation of attached layer
、on the side of headlining shall be examined and such changes shall not have unfavorable effects in use or application. 9. EXPRESSION OF RESULTS Test results indication shall conform to the requirements of clause 8 and for deformation, indicate up to 1mm and for dimensional change, up to 0.1%. 10. CO
