3、RPOSE This test method shall be used to determine the stain behavior when the dry dust is applied to the automotive headlining. 2. SCOPE This standard specifies the method which determines the dust absorption capacity of mold headlining. For doing so, apply the dry dust to the automotive headlining

4、and make it absorbed. And then, suck the absorbed dust using the suction. The sucked surface shall be evaluated in comparison to an unfold test piece. 3. TEST PIECES AND NUMBER OF TEST PIECES The circular test piece with a diameter of (2103)mm shall be taken from the flat area of mold headlining as

5、follows. 3.1. For initial sample approval and arbitration purpose : at least 3 3.2. For routine quality control purpose : at least 1 4. CONDITIONING The test shall be carried out in the as received condition without a special conditioning. 5. APPARATUS 5.1. Testing device(see fig.1) 5.1.1. The testi

6、ng device consists of a pot, which is equipped with a air circulating device(rate of air flow : 1m3/min). (blower type : WE 3140 TR Ing. E&F. Engel GmbH) 5.1.2. The pot has a contact surface for supporting the test piece on the upper edge. The contact surface shall have at least the size of test pie

7、ce. 5.1.3. The upper opening of pot is covered with a lid, to which a vacuum pump is connected. 5.1.4. Testing machine 6. PROCEDURE 6.1. In the pot 3g dry dust is charged. The test piece shall be placed on the

9、 pot with its outside contacted. 6.2. After the blower and vacuum pump are put into operation, the test piece shall be exposed to air current at +23 for 1h. 6.3. The test piece shall be removed from the pot and the half of fouled test piece surface is sucked off with a dust exhauster. 6.4. Such suct

10、ion shall be continuous till any visible change does not occur. 6.5. The sucked surface shall be evaluated. 6.6. If the mold headlining is laminated with film, the surface shall be cleaned additionally with a clean, wet cloth before the evaluation. 7. EVALUATION For the evaluation of fouling the suc

11、ked surface is evaluated with grey scale in comparison to an unfold test piece. The evaluation shall be performed far from the edge at least 10mm. 12、 Technology 8. EXPRESSION OF RESULT The result of strain test of mold headlining shall be expressed according to the requirement specified in clause 7. The details for test method shall be additionally recorded. 9. CODING SYSTEM On drawings, material specifications, the stain behavior of mold headlining shall be expressed as follows.
