、 Safety Data Sheet guidance documents (available at ). 3 Requirements 3.1 General. This material is a PUR - soft foam whose composition and properties are suited to its application. The molded parts manufactured from this foam must be equal in foam structure, cell size, mechanical properties, and su

、rface quality (closed skin/densified surface area) and correspond to each other. They may have no unfoamed areas (shrinkage spots), no cracks and no dense areas (streaks) which could have adverse affects on serviceability. Foamed inserts must be securely bound to the foam or fixed by constructional

、means (finning, corrugation, etc.) and may have no shrinkage spots or cracks around them. The foamed inserts shall be securely bound to the foam to avoid a crack at misuse. The foam molded part must be physiologically unobjectionable. It must be free from constituents which could cause health damage

、s or skin irritations. The foam part may have no extractable and/or volatile constituents which could result in migration or contact effects with covering fabrics. 3.1.1 Type 1 and Type 4. This material is a flexible, open-cell high resilient (HR) foam based on polyether whose composition and proper

、ties are suited to its application. This particularly applies to its fatigue resistance, permanent set, humidity ageing and loss of elasticity. The surface of the molding shall be open to ensure sufficient air permeability. This can be obtained either by the formulation of the foam or by mechanical

This material is a PUR - soft foam whose composition and properties are suited to its application. 3.1.3 Type Descriptions. 3.1.3.1 Type 1. This type is an upholstery PUR foam based on MDI or MDI/TDI mix for headrests. 3.1.3.2 Type 2. This t

、ype is a PUR soft foam based on MDI, free of Chlorofluorocarbons (CFC), for filling and back foaming of molded parts to drawing, e.g., frame and full foam headrests. 3.1.3.3 Type 3. This type is a PUR soft foam based on MDI, free of CFC, for filling and back foaming of full foam headrests, e.g., rea

、r back center headrest. 3.1.3.4 Type 4. This type is a polyether based PUR foam for rear seat backs, armrests, and headrests. 3.2 Test Piece and Number. If it is not possible to take test pieces from a molded part, then suitable plates shall be manufactured for the test (taken from equal manufacturi

、ng process, recipe of foam and density). The test piece shall be taken without skin and in rising direction of foam. 3.3 Conditioning. Immediately prior to test, all test pieces shall be pre dried at +70 C 3 C and conditioned. The pre-drying period shall be 16 h for tests conducted after humidity ag
