This specification des
2、cribes material types of unfilled acrylonitrile styrene acrylate (ASA) and polycarbonate (PC) blends, which are used in injection components. Code letters, in addition to GMW3013 guidelines that apply to this standard are listed below. Note: Additional characteristics will be indicated by code lette

Approved paint systems that can be used on this material are listed in the GM Approved Paint on Parts Systems (GM APOPS) database. 1.1.2 Types. The class

8、y Certification Statement according to GMW3013. The color shall be specified on drawings, in material specifications and otherwise. 3.1 Requirements on Test Specimens. Reference GMW3221. 3.1.1 Unless otherwise specified, injection molding of test specimens shall be accomplished per ISO 294 with the
9、conditions for injection molding from ISO 2580-2. 3.1.2 Test methods and specimen dimensions are to be in accordance with ISO 2580-2 with the following additions: use ISO 3167, Type 1A, thickness 4 mm, for tensile and flexural properties. 3.1.3 All tests shall be performed on specimen 40 h minimum a
10、fter molding and immediately following a conditioning period of 24 h minimum in a controlled atmosphere per GMW3221, Code A, unless otherwise specified. 3.1.4 All tests shall be performed on unannealed specimen. 3.1.5 The values specified in Table 1 shall be met by test specimen in natural or black.
11、 3.1.6 The values specified in Table 2 shall be met by integrally colored test specimen. All pa
13、rts manufactured from molding compounds shall be resistant to the media they contact at their place of use. 3.2 Compound Properties. For Compound Property requirements, natural, black and integrally colored, see Tables 1 and 2. The following are also required for full specification approval. 3.2.1 T
14、he minimum number of lots per test required is one in natural: Poissons Ratio, Stress Strain Curve at +23 C, +85 C, -30 C; Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC) Curve; Multiaxial Impact Curve, and Infrared Spectroscopy Curve. 3.2.2 See the styrenic certification template for the test procedures. 3
15、.3 Performance Requirements. 3.3.1 Performance requirements e.g., flammability, fogging or resistance to odor, shall be specified on part drawings or in component specifications. 3.3.2 All finished parts for Interior applications shall meet the requirements according to GMW14444 and GMW14651. Note 3: For integrally colored compounds, the color of each test specimen shall be measured per SAE J1545, CIELAB color space, 10 degree observer,
29、 illuminant D65, specular included, sphere geometry, before and after exposures. In case of conflict between accelerated and natural weathering, natural weathering takes precedent. Prior to making measurements and observations on weathered specimens, wash the specimens with a solution consisting of
30、2 g No. 7 Car Wash Concentrate (distributed by Armor All Products, Aliso Viejo, CA 92656) and 1 L deionized water 22 3 C. Use a soft sponge saturated with the solution and scrubs the samples with a firm action. Note 4: Surface defect specific to gloss shall be evaluated with high initial gloss (80 t
31、o 90) shall have more than 50% retention in gloss, with medium initial gloss (30 to 50) shall have more than 60% retention, and lower gloss resins (below 30) shall have no more than a 10 unit change. 33、atisfy applicable laws, rules, regulations and recommendations valid in the country of usage. 5.2 Language. In the event of conflict between the English and domestic language, the English language shall take precedence. 5.3 Inspection and Rejection. Samples of components or materials released to a G
34、M material specification shall be tested for conformity with the requirements of this material specification and approved by the responsible Engineering department prior to commencement of delivery of bulk supplies. 36、s, location of manufacture, etc. If not otherwise agreed, all testing and documentation normally required for initial release must be completed. It is the responsibility of the supplier to inform the customer in a timely manner, without solicitation, and to include documentation of all modifications
37、 of materials and/or processes and to apply for a new release. If not otherwise agreed, all release tests shall be repeated and documented by the supplier prior to commencement of delivery of non-conforming bulk supplies. In individual cases, a shorter test can be agreed to between the responsible E
38、ngineering department and the supplier. 5.4 Initial Source Approval. No shipments shall be made by any supplier until representative initial production samples have been approved by the appropriate Materials Engineering department(s) as meeting the requirements of this specification. 5.5 Material Sa
39、fety Data Sheets/Safety Data Sheets (MSDS/SDS). For new product submissions, or when a change in chemical composition of an existing product has occurred, a complete copy of the Material Safety Data Sheet/Safety Data Sheet must be submitted in compliance with the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) of
40、Classification and Labeling of Chemicals requirements or other country-specific MSDS/SDS requirements. In addition, product MSDS/SDS submissions must be in compliance with specific country General Motors TMC003 Material Safety Data Sheet/Safety Data Sheet guidance documents where available. 5.6 All
41、materials supplied to this standard must comply with the requirements of GMW3059, Restricted and Reportable Substances for Parts. 6 Approved Sources Engineering qualifications of an approved source are required for this standard. Only sources listed in the GM Materials File (i.e., GM Supply Power) u
