2、1 Material Description. This specification covers the properties of an integrally colored, interior Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) molding compound. These materials can be processed by extrusion and/or injection molding. Materials are delineated by “Type” in Table A1 indicating Shore hardness, “Grade” in
3、Table A2 indicating castable material form, liquid or powder and “Class” in Table A3 indicating plasticizer content, Thalate, Trimellitate or other. 1.2 Symbols. The material abbreviation according to ISO 11469 is PVC . 1.3 Typical Applications. Typical interior trim including console sides and door
4、 panels. 1.4 Remarks. PVC materials approved to this specification will be called out on the engineering drawing indicating all three attributes, e.g., GMW16081P-PVC, Type 2, Grade P, Class TR is an 80 5 Shore A hardness, castable powder PVC that contains Trimellitate plasticizer. In addition, if th
5、e nominal Shore hardness for the GM component is different than nominal “Type” stated, it shall be called out specifically on the engineering drawing, e.g., if Type 2 = 80 5 Shore A, but 82 nominal Shore A is being used, 82 X Shore A hardness shall be called out with Type 2. 2 References Note: Only
