This standard covers the material requirements of fuel hoses for use with gasoline or diesel fuel in automotive fuel systems. All hoses shall be
3、 considered conductive, and must meet the conductivity requirements of this specification, unless otherwise noted on the part drawing. The material content of the hose and stiffness of the hose are defined by the Construction and Temperature class designations for the hose. Hoses are defined by the
4、Construction and temperature capability. Hoses are either suitable for applications subjected to maximum continuous operation temperatures of +90 C with intermittent operation at temperatures up to +110 C maximum, to maximum continuous operation temperatures of +125 C with intermittent operation at
5、temperatures up to +150 C maximum, or for applications subjected to maximum continuous operation temperatures of +150 C with intermittent operation at temperatures up to +175 C, dependent on the “Temperature Rating” of the hose. The designation for the fuel hose is defined as GMW16709 Type YZ, where
6、 Y defines the temperature capability of the hose, and Z defines the “Construction” of the hose per 3.8.1 through 3.8.3 and Table 1. 1.2 Mission/Theme. Not applicable. 1.3 Classification. Any change to the component or material, e.g., design, function, properties, manufacturing process and/or location of manufacture requires a new release of the product. It is the sole responsibility of
17、 the supplier to provide the customer, unsolicited, with documentation of any change or modification to the product/process, and to apply for a new release. If not otherwise agreed to, the entire verification test shall be repeated and documented by the supplier prior to start of delivery of the mod

With reference to this standard, the test results shall be presented in a test report. 3.8 Material Description. Materials covered by this standard are
19、 divided into several sets of constructions and temperature rating categories. The hose is defined as “GMW16709 Type YZ”, where “Y” refers to the temperature rating of the hose, and “Z” refers to the construction of the hose. 3.8.1 Hose Construction. 3.8.1.1 Construction: The “Construction” of the h
