2、es for interior hardware applications. Processes may include not only conventional lithography but also any aluminum decoration via inks, textures, etc., that are not classified as anodize (reference GMW14665) or paint (reference GMW14669). For second surface lithoprinting on thermoplastic film, ref

3、er to GMW16717. Interior applications shall be defined as being readily visible and not directly exposed to outdoor weathering. 1.1 Material Description. Not applicable. 1.2 Symbols. 6、ements 3.1 Requirements on Delivery. 3.1.1 Chemical Requirements. Not applicable. 3.1.2 Mechanical Requirements. Not applicable. 3.1.3 Physical Requirements. 3.1.3.1 Test Samples. All samples for appearance or performance evaluations shall be prepared using production-intent materials and processes.

7、 Product process steps shall be documented and reported. Film thickness of any coating(s) also shall be documented and reported. 3.1.3.2 Finish. Appearance of the finished parts shall be equal to or better than the approved engineering sample when viewed under the conditions set forth in GMW6992. 3.

8、2 Performance Requirements. Parts or test plaques prepared by normal production practices shall be subjected to tests listed below after a minimum aging period of 72 h following the baking or drying cycle. Parts and/or plaques shall be tested under standard laboratory conditions of (23 2) C and (50

9、5)% RH. 10、 2 of 4 3.2.1 Adhesion. There shall be no adverse appearance effects (e.g., blisters, cracking, film lifting, etc.) when the lithoprint is examined immediately after the following tests. The print shall not lift more than 1.5 mm from the intersection of the scribed test lines (GMW14829, Method B, fo

11、r curved surfaces) or more than 5% of a standard test area (GMW14829, Method A, for flat surfaces). If the printed area is less than the standard tape test area, the sense of the test shall be utilized. Brittleness of the print as evidenced by flaking or chipping while scribing shall be cause for re

12、jection. 3.2.1.1 As-received tape adhesion per GMW14829, Method A or B (respectively, for flat or curved surfaces). 3.2.1.2 Twenty-four Hour (24 h) Humidity Test (GMW14729), followed by Tape Adhesion Test (GMW14829, Method A or B (respectively, for flat or curved surfaces). 3.2.1.3 Two-hour (2 h) Wa

13、ter Immersion Test per GMW14704. 3.2.2 Colorfastness. Samples shall show no loss of adhesion, objectionable gloss level change, objectionable color change or other visible surface deterioration after the following exposures. (For reference, interior paint requirements of GMW14669-B1 must be met.) 3.

14、2.2.1 Test for colorfastness to light per GMW3417-L1-F2-G1-Tx. The requirements are to be met after the following exposures. 3.2.2.1.1 110 000 TNR Langleys at 105 C (T5) for horizontal direct-sun exposure (example, top of instrument panel). 3.2.2.1.2 55 000 TNR Langleys at 95 C (T4) for vertical dir

15、ect-sun exposure (example; upper door trim, steering wheel), and also all areas with lower exposure. 3.2.2.1.3 25,000 TNR Langleys for sill plates which are concealed by door. 3.2.2.1.4 The L1 (U.S., Arizona) code applies to GM Europe, GM Korea, GM North America, and PATAC. Code L5 (Cruz Alta) appli

16、es to GM South America, and Code L4 (Allunga, Queensland, Australia) applies to GM Holden or as otherwise agreed by the GM Materials Engineer. 3.2.2.2 Xenon arc artificial weathering test for colorfastness per GMW14162, Method D, (1240.8 kJ/m2) or Method B (28 MJ). For sill plates, test to 300.8 kJ/

17、m2 (Method D) or to 6.8 MJ (Method B). 3.2.2.3 After the natural weathering and xenon arc weatherometer exposures, samples shall be placed in humidity for 24 h per GMW14729, followed by a tape adhesion test per GMW14829, Method A, if flat surface, or method B if curved surface. The samples shall mee

18、t the requirements as listed in Section 3.2.1 of this specification. 3.2.3 Wear Resistance. There shall be no wear-through of the print or pattern after 750 cycles of the Taber abraser per GMW3208 (CS10 Wheel and 500 g load). 3.2.4 Effects of Cleaners. 3.2.4.1 Parts in the as-received condition shal

19、l withstand ten (10) double rubs using a white cheesecloth saturated with the following: Sonax Window Cleaner 338241 (Europe) Ammoniated Window Cleaner (North America) Sonax Interior Cleaner 321200 (Europe) Fantastik or Formula 409 All Purpose Cleaner (North America) Sonax Stain Remover 653200 (Euro

20、pe) Armor All Cleaner (North America) Armor All Protectant (North America) Note: For all other regions, if the cleaners listed are not available, use appropriate cleaners commonly used locally for automotive interiors. 3.2.4.1.1 The length of a single rub shall be at least 50 mm. The force on the cl

21、oth normal to the surface shall be approximately 5 N. 3.2.4.1.2 There shall be no discoloration of paint film or transfer of paint or color coat to the cloth. The white cheesecloth shall have an American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists rating of Class 4 or better on the chromatic trans

22、fer scale (see AATCC Evaluation Procedure 2 or ISO 105-A02). Test specimen and test container sizes shall be on the order of a 1 L container per (5000 to 10 000) mm2 of specimen test surface area. 3.2.6 Fogging. Te

24、st per GMW3235. 3.2.6.1 For Method A (photometric), use T2 (100 C), 3 h test time, 1 h drying time. Requirement is minimum 60% reflectance with no visible formation of films, discernible droplets or crystals. 3.2.6.2 For Method B, bath temperature is to be set at T2, cooling temperature of 21 C, 18

25、h test time, 24 h post-conditioning time. The amount of fog, when weighed, shall be 1.0 mg. Samples that result in a residue that forms a transparent film, discernible droplets ( 0.05 mm diameter) or any visual signs of crystallinity when viewed at 40x magnification, shall be judged to have not pass

26、ed this requirement. Provide a 40x magnified photograph of each fog plate with the results. 3.2.7 Impact Resistance. Applicable to trim materials that are horizontal or within 30 of horizontal. Test per GMW14093, Code 3, 1J. There shall be no observable deformation beyond 5 mm measured in any direct

27、ion. 3.2.8 Dimensional Stability. Expose sample material to two cycles of GMW14124, Cycle M. There shall be no significant changes of surface appearance, including color, gloss, crazing, cracking, warping or other dimensions. 3.2.9 Resistance to Perspiration. Test per GMW14334, Code C, and 24 h imme

28、rsion in both acidic and alkaline solutions at room temperature. Performance rating of 1 is required. 3.2.10 Sunscreen and Insect Repellant Resistance. Test per GMW14445. A performance rating of 1 or 2 is required. The exposed area of coating shall not show removal after a 1 mm hemispherical tip wei

29、ghted with an 8 N load has been dragged across the surface per GMW14698. 3.2.11 Scratch Resistance. Coated surface shall not show penetration to metal substrate where the 1 mm hemispherical tip weighted with an 8 N load has been dragged across the surface per GMW14698. 3.2.12 Corrosion Resistance. T

30、est to GMW14872 criteria according to location of material in vehicle. Performance criteria per GMW15272. 3.2.12.1 Secondary Surface (SS) Outside Weatherstrip (O/WS). Example: Sill plate step pad. 3.2.12.2 Secondary Surface (SS) Inside Weatherstrip (I/WS). 3.2.12.3 Interior (INT) Low. Contacts wet a

31、reas, such as carpet, lower 200 mm of door or cupholder. 3.2.12.4 Interior (INT) Mid-high. Typical instrument panel (IP), console or upper door trim. 4 Manufacturing Process Not applicable. 5 Rules and Regulations 5.1 Legal Regulations. All materials must satisfy applicable laws, rules, regulations

32、and recommendations valid in the country of usage. 5.2 Language. In the event of conflict between the English and domestic language, the English language shall take precedence. 5.3 Inspection and Rejection. Samples of components or materials released to a GM material specification shall be tested fo

33、r conformity with the requirements of this material specification and approved by the responsible Engineering department prior to commencement of delivery of bulk supplies. A new approval must be received for any changes, e.g., properties, manufacturing process, location of manufacture, etc. If not

34、otherwise agreed, all testing and documentation normally required for initial release must be completed. It is the responsibility of the supplier to inform the customer in a timely manner, without solicitation, and to include documentation of all modifications of materials and/or processes and to ap

35、ply for a new release. If not otherwise agreed, all release tests shall be repeated and documented by the supplier prior to commencement of delivery of non-conforming bulk supplies. In individual cases, a shorter test can be agreed to between the responsible Engineering department and the supplier.

37、5.4 Material Safety Data Sheets/Safety Data Sheets (MSDS/SDS). For new product submissions, or when a change in chemical composition of an existing product has occurred, a complete copy of the Material Safety Data Sheet/Safety Data Sheet must be submitted in compliance with the Globally Harmonized S

38、ystem of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) requirements or other country-specific MSDS/SDS requirements. In addition, product MSDS/SDS submissions must be in compliance with specific country General Motors TMC003 Material Safety Data Sheet/Safety Data Sheet guidance documents where avai

39、lable. 5.5 All materials supplied to this standard must comply with the requirements of GMW3059, Restricted and Reportable Substances for Parts. 6 Approved Sources Materials supplied to this specification must be approved by General Motors. A list of approved materials can be found in MATSPC. This G

40、M Material File is provided to third parties to reduce redundant testing of materials. If approved material already listed is used, the part supplier can use GM Material File reference for Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) material approval. If the decision is made to use a not yet approved ma

41、terial, contact the involved GM Materials Engineer for detail on the approval process. The material approval process must be completed prior to PPAP start date of the part supplied to General Motors. For other GM locations, the responsible Engineering group should be contacted to obtain the approved
