2、flict between the English and domestic language, the English language shall take precedence. 1.1 Purpose. This document is the GM Worldwide Glazing Testing Standard. Its purpose is to establish a common test methodology for Glazing Materials to ensure that a high quality world class system is consis
3、tently developed and produced. This standard describes the test method used to inspect for double vision in automotive windshields. This is a living document and any suggestions or revisions will be reviewed and/or updated annually by the Fixed Glass Global Subsystem Leadership Team (GSSLT). 1.2 For
4、eword. This is a component/subsystem test. 1.3 Applicability. This standard is applicable for all passenger vehicles, multipurpose passenger vehicle (MPV), and truck models with heated grid elements in fixed glass and produced by GM worldwide. 2 References Note: Only the latest approved standards ar

6、hall be in good working order and shall have a valid calibration label. 3.1.2 Alternatives. Alternative test facilities and equipment may also be used. However, all measuring variables as specified in this standard shall be determined correctly with respect to their physical definition. 3.2 Equipmen
7、t. 3.2.1 A light box consisting of a 25 W light source mounted behind a No. 3480 Corning yellow-red glass or equivalent. 3.2.2 A 12.7 mm diameter light aperture positioned at the front of the light box. Centered on the aperture is a 102 mm diameter circle. 3.2.3 Test shall be performed in a dimly li
8、t room. See Figure 1 for test setup. 3.3 Test Vehicle/Test Piece. Test samples shall be of production intent design and material for design validation (DV); or, production intent design and materials manufactured with production processes (home line) for product validation (PV). Any changes to the c
9、omponents or material, e.g., design, fit, form, function, properties, manufacturing process, and/or location of manufacture require revalidation. Refer to GMW3600. 3.4 Test Time. Calendar

Note: The supplier shall work with the GM Design Responsible Engineer to comprehend this requirement. 3.6 Personnel/Skills. Not applicable. 4 Procedure 4.1 Preparation. 4.2 Cond
12、itions. All conditions specified shall be targeted toward the specified value with any given tolerance () used to compensate for variation. During testing, conditions specified shall not be readjusted within the tolerance unless it is to maintain the particular test condition within the specified to
13、lerance. If such an adjustment is made, it shall be approved by the appropriate GM engineer prior to the start of any testing. Unless otherwise specified, perform the tests in the as received condition without any special pre-conditioning. 4.2.1 Environmental Conditions. The following conditions app
14、ly to all tests unless otherwise specified: Temperature: +23 C 3 C. Humidity 20% to 70% unless otherwise specified. 4.2.2 Test Conditions. Deviations from the requirements of this standard shall have been agreed upon. Such requirements shall be specified on component drawings, test certificates, rep
15、orts, etc. 4.3 Instructions. 4.3.1 Position the windshield at the specified installation angle with the horizontal centerline parallel to the target and normal to the observers line of sight. 4.3.2 The light box should be positioned 7.6 m away from the windshield with the aperture located in the lin
16、e of sight according to Figure 1. 4.3.3 From a position 600 mm behind the drivers eye position the observer, using one eye only, evaluates any shift of the secondary image of the 12.7 mm dot. 4.3.4 The step described in 4.3.2 is repeated for the passenger side of the vehicle. 19、 Results 5.3 Test Documentation. Record all test results and include in the test report. Include photographs of the test setup and the individual test results. The Supplier shall write evaluation reports to document the results of all validation activities and shall make the test results and evaluat
20、ion reports available to GM Engineers upon request. See GMW3600. All test reports are to be in English. The following is also required for ALL test reports: Procedure number and section numbers on all test reports. Requirement being met and Subsystem Technical Specification (SSTS) requirement number
