7、ble 4A. The nominal thickness tolerance is applicable to measurements at any point acrossthe width not less than 40 mm from an edge. Deviations required for individual GM business units are listed inthe Deviations Section at the end of this specification.For blanks rolled with variable thickness, th
8、e tolerance is 0.05 mm for all thickness ranges and materialgrades.3.1.3.1 Business regions may decide, in selective instances, to deviate from the tolerances required in thisspecification. When this occurs, the specified tolerance on the appropriate GM Release Engineering Drawingshall take preceden

Reported values shall be rounded to the nearest 0.01 mm and shall utilize the followingprocedure.3.1.4.1 Thickness and thickness tolerances shall be rounded
11、to the nearest 0.01 mm (two decimal places). Ifthe third digit is five or above, the second digit shall be rounded to the next highest number; if the third digit isfour or below, the second digit shall not be changed.3.1.4.2 When employing the rounding method, two or more successive rounding steps s

Samples of components or materials released to a GM material specificationshall be tested for conformity with the requireme
15、nts of this material specification and approved by theresponsible Engineering department prior to commencement of delivery of bulk supplies.A new approval must be received for any changes, e.g., properties, manufacturing process, location ofmanufacture, etc. If not otherwise agreed, all testing and
16、documentation normally required for initial releasemust be completed.It is the responsibility of the supplier to inform the customer in a timely manner, without solicitation, and toinclude documentation of all modifications of materials and/or processes and to apply for a new release.If not otherwis
17、e agreed, all release tests shall be repeated and documented by the supplier prior tocommencement of delivery of non-conforming bulk supplies. In individual cases, a shorter test can be agreedto between the responsible Engineering department and the supplier.5.4 Material Safety Data Sheets/Safety Da
18、ta Sheets (MSDS/SDS). For new product submissions, or when achange in chemical composition of an existing product has occurred, a complete copy of the Material SafetyData Sheet/Safety Data Sheet must be submitted in compliance with the Globally Harmonized System ofClassification and Labeling of Chem
19、icals (GHS) requirements or other country-specific MSDS/SDSrequirements. In addition, product MSDS/SDS submissions must be in compliance with specific countryGeneral Motors TMC003 Material Safety Data Sheet/Safety Data Sheet guidance documents where available.5.5 All materials supplied to this stand
