As used in this part 1 (a) The term Department means the Department of Housing and Urban De-velopment. (b) The term Secretary means the Sec-retary of Housing and Urban Develop-ment. (c) The term res
7、ponsible Department official means the Secretary or, to the extent of any delegation of authority by the Secretary to act under this part 1, any other Department official to whom the Secretary may hereafter del-egate such authority. (d) The term United States means the States of the United States, t
8、he Dis-trict of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam, Wake Island, the Canal Zone, and the territories and possessions of the United States, and the term State means any one of the foregoing.
