19、THE REPORT At its 16th Meeting of its 172nd Session on 18 June 2004, the Council noted or approved, to the extent indicated hereunder, the recommendations contained in the Report of the Twelfth Session of the Facilitation Division. Contracting States should take particular note of those “B-type” Rec

20、ommendations that are addressed to them and which, in this form, are now Recommendations of the Council. PART A Recommendations to amend Annex 9 Standards and Recommended Practices (“A-Type” Recommendations Ah to N16) Recommendations Al1 to AA6: Proposals to amend Annex 9 (Eleventh Edition) The Coun

21、cil noted that the Air Transport Committee had made a preliminary review of the “A-type” Recommendations of the Division for the amendment of standards and recommended practices in Annex 9, had made several observations on them, and had directed that these observations and the recommendations of the

22、 Division be transmitted to the Contracting States for their comments. Further, the Council agreed that when the comments from States were received, the Committee would conduct a further review of these recommendations of the Division in the light of the Contracting States comments and would present

23、 its final recommendations for adoption by the Council. The Twelfth Session of the Facilitation Division of the International Civil Aviation Organization was held in Cairo, the Arab Republic of Egypt from 22 March to

30、1 April 2004 at the invitation of the Government of Egypt. The opening welcoming ceremony was held in the Cheops Auditorium of the Cairo International Conference Centre and was addressed by General Ahmed Shafique, the Honourable Minister of Civil Aviation of Egypt, Dr. Assad Kotaite, President of th

31、e Council of ICAO and His Excellency Dr. Atef Obeid, Prime Minister of Egypt. (Opening addresses are attached as Appendix 1). Officers of the Division 2. Air Vice-Marshal M. El Bagoury (Egypt) was elected Chairman of the Division for the Twelfth Session; Mrs. M. Munyagi (Tanzania) was elected First

32、Vice-chairman; and Mr. M. Awan (Pakistan) was elected Second Vice-chairman. 3. The Division established two committees, the Chairmen of which were: Committee 1 : Committee 2: Mr. Simon T.C.
