The Test Methods formerly in GT-9 are now issu
5、ed as GT-9A and GT-9B. 2.0 APPARATUS Milling cutter or other suitable machining equipment. 3.0 MATERIAL Bonderite CD-10 or Bonderite 958 zinc phosphated steel panels, 100 x 300 mm (4 x 12 inches), available from Advanced Coatings Technologies, 273 Industrial Drive, Hillsdale, Michigan 49242. 4.0 PRO
6、CEDURE 4.1 Prepare two panels according to the procedure specified for the applicable grade in Test Method GT-13, Panel Preparation. 4.2 Age the prepared panels for 24 hours in still air at 21 to 27C (70 to 80F). 4.3 Using the milling cutter or other suitable machining equipment, machine a portion o
7、f each of the panels. 4.4 After machining, examine the painted surface of each of the panels with the unaided eye; any evidence of cracking or flaking in the unmachined dry film near the location of the machining or as machined edge which is not smooth and uniform will constitute a failure. 5.0 REPORT Report whether the paint passes or fails this test.
