This chamber should be computer controlled for time and temperature. 4.6.1.3 Burst Strength Test Apparatus An apparatus conforming to the requirements described in SAE J1401 4.6.2 Test Method A The brake hose assemblies are to be subjected to pressure and temperature cycling fo

Drill a 2 mm (0.079“) hole through the coupling area on one end (between the crimped portion and the hex or stock area). 4.6.2.4.1 Use a burst type cabinet as outlined in SAE J 1401. 4.6.2.4.2 Use water as p

This hole should be drilled through the cup wall at the end of the hose contacting the bottom of the cup. The hole

Place the assemblies into the temperature chamber. 4.6.3.2 Test Fluid: Fill t

33、 cycle. The temperature should be changed as rapidly as possible. Temperature cycling for one days testing is shown in Table 3. Table 3 Temperature Cycle - 24 hours Cool Down Steps -12 C -18 C -23 C -29 C Heat Rise Steps -4 C 24 C Cool Down Steps -12 C -18 C -23 C -29 C Heat Rise Steps 24 C 52 C 80

34、C Ambient Temperature Temperature is allowed to return to ambient (16 C to 32 C) and pressure cycling is stopped for the remainder of the 24 hour cycle. Complete 4 Test Cycles 4.6.3.5 Inspection: The weep hole in each fitting should be inspected at 2 hour max. intervals. This will allow the time and

35、 temperature to be noted when any failure occurs. Failure is evident by weeping or leaking of brake fluid from the weep hole. Care should be taken not to confuse normal condensation with brake fluid. If the leakage is dampness or a few drops per hour, the assembly should be left on test. Normally ho

36、ses will seal up at the next cycle. A record should be kept of times and temperatures when any leakage is noted. Hoses leaking in a steady stream should be removed from the test. 4.6.3.6 End of Test: Upon failure or end of test, remove assemblies from the chamber, disconnect from the pressure cyclin
