2、mpasses both IMT-2000 and IMT-Advanced collectively; b) that, with the changing radiocommunication environment, a world process for technological harmonization needs to be advanced further to ensure inter alia, global interconnection and interoperability; c) that the introduction of new technologies
3、 and services is of great importance for the modernization and expansion of telecommunication networks; d) that IMT will be a key enabler for the growth of those networks; e) that IMT involves both terrestrial and space components; f) that the work has been well advanced on IMT in connection with Qu
4、estion ITU-R 77/8; g) that studies are in progress regarding the future development of IMT and on systems beyond IMT in connection with Questions ITU-R 77/8, 228/8 and 229/8, resolves to request the Secretary-General 1 to continue to develop, in conjunction with the Directors of the Radiocommunicati
5、on, Telecommunication Standardization and Telecommunication Development Bureaux, appropriate measures to enable all countries of the world, and particularly the developing countries to make better plans for the smooth integration of IMT systems (IMT-2000 and IMT-Advanced) with their existing public networks. _
