G.983.1. It consists of Appendix V for OLT and Appendix VI for ONU. Source Amendm

G.983.1 (2005)/Amd.1 (05/2005) FOREWORD The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is the United Nations specialized agency in the field of telecommunications. The ITU Telec

10、ommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) is a permanent organ of ITU. ITU-T is responsible for studying technical, operating and tariff questions and issuing Recommendations on them with a view to standardizing telecommunications on a worldwide basis. The World Telecommunication Standardization A

11、ssembly (WTSA), which meets every four years, establishes the topics for study by the ITU-T study groups which, in turn, produce Recommendations on these topics. The approval of ITU-T Recommendations is covered by the procedure laid down in WTSA Resolution 1. In some areas of information technology

12、which fall within ITU-Ts purview, the necessary standards are prepared on a collaborative basis with ISO and IEC. NOTE In this Recommendation, the expression “Administration“ is used for conciseness to indicate both a telecommunication administration and a recognized operating agency. Compliance wit

13、h this Recommendation is voluntary. However, the Recommendation may contain certain mandatory provisions (to ensure e.g. interoperability or applicability) and compliance with the Recommendation is achieved when all of these mandatory provisions are met. The words “shall“ or some other obligatory la

14、nguage such as “must“ and the negative equivalents are used to express requirements. The use of such words does not suggest that compliance with the Recommendation is required of any party. 20、OLT V.1 Scope This appendix specifies PICS for OLT in ITU-T Rec. G.983.1. It does not require any modifications of ITU-T Rec. G.983.1. V.2 Definitions This appendix applies the following definitions in PICS1tables. Req: Requirement. This column indicates whether the conformance requirement of a part

21、icular clause in the standard is mandatory, optional, or conditional. Conf: Conformance result. Compliance or not will be indicated. M: Mandatory. Conformance cannot be approved unless the parameter is implemented as specified. O: Optional. The parameter may be implemented or not but, if implemented

22、, it must be as stated in the standard. C: Conditional. If an associated major option is implemented, this parameter must be implemented.
