This amendment to ITU-T Recommendation 4.293 1 has be

8、en prepared to reflect changes, clarifications and additions to the basic calllconnection control messages and procedures of DSS2. The changes are based on errors and inconsistencies identified in ITU-T Recommendation 4.2931 since its first publication in 1995. This amendment is designed to be compa

9、tible with implementations conforming to ITU-T Recommendation 4.293 1 (02/95) and Amendments 1,2 and 3 to ITU-T 4.293 1. Source Amendment 4 to ITU-T Recommendation 4.2931 was prepared by -T Study Group 11 (1997-2000) and approved under the WTSC Resolution 1 procedure on 3 December 1999. ITU-T Q.293U

The ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) is a permanent organ of IT. ITU-T is responsible for studying technical,

11、 operating and tariff questions and issuing Recommendations on them with a view to standardizing telecommunications on a worldwide basis. The World Telecommunication Standardization Conference (WTSC), which meets every four years, establishes the topics for study by the ITU-T study groups which, in

12、turn, produce Recommendations on these topics. The approval of ITU-T Recommendations is covered by the procedure laid down in WTSC Resolution 1. In some areas of information technology which fail within ITU-Ts purview, the necessary standards are prepared on a collaborative basis with IS0 and IEC. N

13、OTE In this Recommendation, the expression “Administration“ is used for conciseness to indicate both a telecommunication administration and a recognized operating agency. If the broadband sending complete information element is not included, missing mandatory information element error procedures need not be applied.
