7、(1999)/Amd.5 (10/2009) i Recommendation ITU-T Q.762 Signalling System No. 7 ISDN User Part general functions of messages and signals Amendment 5 Support for the customized alerting tone (CAT) service Summary Amendment 5 to Recommendation ITU-T Q.762 was produced to meet the need for the implementati

8、on of the customized alerting tone (CAT) service as specified in ETSI TS 123.205 (2009). This amendment contains the modifications to Recommendation ITU-T Q.762 (1999) in order to accommodate these needs. This amendment should be read in connection with the related amendments to Recommendations ITU-

9、T Q.761 and ITU-T Q.763. Source Amendment 5 to Recommendation ITU-T Q.762 (1999) was approved on 29 October 2009 by ITU-T Study Group 11 (2009-2012) under Recommendation ITU-T A.8 procedures. ii Rec. ITU-T Q.762 (1999)/Amd.5 (10/2009) FOREWORD The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is the U

10、nited Nations specialized agency in the field of telecommunications, information and communication technologies (ICTs). The ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) is a permanent organ of ITU. ITU-T is responsible for studying technical, operating and tariff questions and issuing Recomm

11、endations on them with a view to standardizing telecommunications on a worldwide basis. The World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA), which meets every four years, establishes the topics for study by the ITU-T study groups which, in turn, produce Recommendations on these topics. The a

12、pproval of ITU-T Recommendations is covered by the procedure laid down in WTSA Resolution 1. In some areas of information technology which fall within ITU-Ts purview, the necessary standards are prepared on a collaborative basis with ISO and IEC. NOTE In this Recommendation, the expression “Administ

13、ration“ is used for conciseness to indicate both a telecommunication administration and a recognized operating agency. Compliance with this Recommendation is voluntary. However, the Recommendation may contain certain mandatory provisions (to ensure e.g. interoperability or applicability) and complia

14、nce with the Recommendation is achieved when all of these mandatory provisions are met. The words “shall“ or some other obligatory language such as “must“ and the negative equivalents are used to express requirements. The use of such words does not suggest that compliance with the Recommendation is

15、required of any party. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS ITU draws attention to the possibility that the practice or implementation of this Recommendation may involve the use of a claimed Intellectual Property Right. ITU takes no position concerning the evidence, validity or applicability of claimed Inte
