T.417 I ISO/IEC 8613-7 introduces the optional colour/grey-scale resolutions of 12 BMU (100 peld25.4 m), 6 BMU (200 peld25.4 m), 4 BMU (300 peld25.4 m), 3 BMU (400 peld25.4
4、 m), 2 BMU (600 peld25.4 m), 1 BMU (1200 peld25.4 m) to the G4 facsimile. This amendment enables the G4 colour facsimile terminal to handle the black and white optional resolution and colour/grey-scale optional resolutions independently. 6、andardization Sector (ITU-T) is a permanent organ of the ITU. The ITU-T is responsible for studying technical, operating and tariff questions and issuing Recommendations on them with a view to standardizing telecommunications on a worldwide basis. The World Telecommunication Standardization Conferen
7、ce (WTSC), which meets every four years, establishes the topics for study by the ITU-T Study Groups which, in their turn, produce Recommendations on these topics. The approval of Recommendations by the Members of the ITU-T is covered by the procedure laid down in WTSC Resolution No. 1. In some areas
8、 of information technology which fall within ITU-Ts purview, the necessary standards are prepared on a collaborative basis with IS0 and IEC. NOTE In this Recommendation, the expression “Administration“ is used for conciseness to indicate both a telecommunication administration and a recognized opera
