The Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) is a permane

5、nt organ of the ITU. The ITU-T is responsible for studying technical, operating and tariff questions and issuing Recommendations on them with a view to standardizing telecommunications on a worldwide basis. The World Telecommunication Standardization Conference (WTSC), which meets every four years,

6、establishes the topics for study by the ITU-T Study Groups which, in their turn, produce Recommendations on these topics. The approval of Recommendations by the Members of the -T is covered by the procedure laid down in WTSC Resolution No. 1. In some areas of information technology which fall within

7、 -Ts purview, the necessary standards are prepared on a collaborative basis with IS0 and EC. I NOTE In this Recommendation, the expression “Administration” is used for conciseness to indicate both a telecommunication administration and a recognized operating agency. Originally, this Note belonged to subclause Revise subclause 1.4 to read as follows: 5m.5 3 994). In 1997, subcla

13、use 1.5 was delete but the Note remainec 1.4 colour image types of G4 facsimile apparatus are optional. The basic image type of the Group 4 facsimile apparatus is black and white. Continuous tone gray-scale and Other image types are for further study. 2) Subclause B.5.2J.563 (1996) Recommendation F.

14、551 specifies that the content of the file description is common to all telematic services. But the file description in B.5.2K.563 is not compatible with that in Annex B.4. In spite of the following Note in B.5.2.563, there is no “ I“ in the content of the file description. “NOTE 2 -When only is use
